Spurs Thread - 2021/22

In equally annoying proportions to yesterday's 1st half show was Brighton's defeat of Spurs in that by plying two players one either side of Kane giving him close attention they totally prevented him getting the ball and thus totally nullified Spurs counter attacking link play.
Ķlopp can now use the same trick next week.
We always had to win every game from now on in in the league anyway to win it, but getting a bit of help would have made things easier.

Don't be silly. That's as daft as suggesting the best team in the land and all the world would only get 3 points from 18 against Spurs, Palace and Southampton, scoring just three goals in the process!!
And if we miss the title this season it will be because of these failures not because the squad is tired. With Haaland we would have won all these matches. Both Palace games would have been by 3 to 4 goals.

I agree with this but - a bit off topic - if Haaland were to have been injured for those games, we need more than just Haaland for next season. So, either promotion from within, or 2 new forwards, please.

If we miss the league this season the fixture planners will have won with that first game this campaign where we were nowhere near ready, of course we could have lost after a full prep but they set us up for that (Kane) game.

All together now.....

"Spurs are on their way to Anfield,
Tottenham's gonna do it again,
They can't stop 'em,
The boys from Tottenham,
The boys from White har the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium...."
