Spurs Thread - 2023/24

Fuck sake, you are the best team in the world, getting beat by City won’t be the acid test, as no **** will beat you unless you don’t turn up. They will give you a better game than in previous games, but they won’t fucking beat you. You have noticed how good you are?
They will at their place. Death, taxes etc etc.

Eh? I never said Arsenal are the best team (in the title thread I've been clear City will win the league) just that Spurs haven't played anyone decent yet and winning 2-1 at home to Sheff United with 2 injury time goals isn't making me shit my pants yet and their game next week at the Emirates will be the 1st time they've had a proper test. Win that and I'll take them a bit more seriously.

Where did I say you did say Arsenal were the best? I agreed you weren’t, that’s it. If they collapse they will be in good company on that score. People were quick as always to write Ange off because where he came from. Typical underestimation of everything non English, even though the majority of all the best players down there and best managers aren’t English. The test will be against Arsenal. City are so far above all of you that getting beat by them is par for the course for everyone going to City. CL teams included.

Ange fits like a glove for what Spurs are trying to built and they haven’t even properly invested any of the Kane money yet. Signs look promising though!

I recall a guy at The Etihad talking to us at half time v Fulham. Very keen to tell us what a waste of time signing Doku was. I’m amazed when people try to extrapolate out whole seasons based on a half or a handful of games. I guess it’s the same type of people who hand titles in November.

Decent start for Postecoglu. I’ll believe the Spurs revival when I see them lift a pot. And I don’t mean a Carabao Cup if they find themselves in a final v Bournemouth.
