Spurs Thread | 2024/25

Spurs were current champions when I was born.
Just as a matter of interest, how many times did city win it before the oil money started flowing in.
If you want to start debates about trophies you may join another forum along the lines of Fulham, This is really the last place you want to do it...

Unless you want to talk about a Treble, Four In A Row, Five trophies in a season...

Anyway, You can stop trolling and just move on, You've won the "We beat Manchester City Trophy" already this season that's as high as it gets for you lot.

I got into football in the run up to the World Cup in 1966.
Spurs were lauded in the media at the time for being the first team to win the double in the 1900s, the first English team to win a European trophy, and Jimmy Greaves was going to lead us to glory in the World Cup. - And that was it.
Since then loads of teams have won the double, several (including Spurs) have won more than one European trophy and the World Cup was won by England without Greaves.
Probably what is the root of the Spurs fondness in the younger generation during my youth.

Also the first non-league side to win the FA Cup, although back then the highest tier of non-league football was the third level on the pyramid, so it’s like a League 1 side winning it today.

Only one treble?
