Spurs Thread | 2025/26

If they get relegated, I think there's a very good chance their time as a top 6 club is over.

They aren't just going to bounce back in a year and be back to normal. They'll lose out on £150m TV money even including the parachute payments, matchday revenue will probably half, that's another £40m, The press is already full of stories of the sponsors leaving and they've got £280m net transfer debt.

Newcastle bounced back in 2009 because Ashley injected aobut 60% of their revenue from the previous year into the club to keep them operating as a PL club in the championship. For ENIC to do that would require about £400m, and it would break PSR.

I don't think anyone sees ENIC funding that, so they'd be looking at selling off 75% of the squad IMO between selling the valuable assets to cover their losses and offloading the highest earners.

Then they'll be replacing those players with bottom end of the PL players at best.

I still think they'd probably come back up straight away, but the £200m/year revenue gap between them at the bottom of the big 6 and Newcastle/Villa trying to catch up would be wiped out and they'd be saddled with a squad of midtable players it'd take years to replace with ones as good as they have today.

Spurs won’t be relegated.

Spurs won’t be relegated.

Today will be a litmus test. West Ham are 4th in the league since Paco Jemez came in and sorted out their attack - they've gone from averaging less than a goal a game to 2. Forest are looking much more like the team that finished 6th in this Liverpool game I'm watching and the European performance on Thursday. If both of them keep playing like this, Spurs need a serious bounce from Tudor.

they have been steadily getting worse and worse over the years...right from when we stopped them getting into the champs league....little by little they have declined so hopefully this year will see them go down.

Their fans and owner deserve it....they have lived off the reputation of being a prem division team for far too long. ......

Besides the rags and scousers they are the team I hate the most in the PL by far...

Hopefully they go down

Tottenham losing 4–1 twice to Arsenal, yet somehow taking 5 points off City — that’s the kind of inconsistency that drives you mad as a City fan.

Against Arsenal:
They looked open.
Defensive structure collapsed.
Midfield couldn’t cope with pressure.

Against City:
Deep block.
Counter-attacks.
Maximum focus and intensity.
Clinical in key moments.

If I had a third bollock, I'd happily give it to see Spurs relegated. But I've only got the two; and you never know when you might need them.

Spurs are a waste of oxygen.

Spurs' last 11 games look awful.

Fulham away - L
Palace at home - W
Liverpool away - L
Forest at home - D
Sunderland away - L
Brighton at home - L
Wolves away - D
Villa away - L
Leeds at home - L
Chelsea away - L

34 points going into the last day. Everton at home. A nervy few weeks for Spurs fans.

Unfortunately, I'm guessing that two more wins may be enough. That'd get them to 35 points, and teams are regularly surviving on around that total. Three more wins would certainly do them. They'll win the Palace, Forest and Wolves games.

They look reasonably ok to me

Should get another 11 points out of those which would take them to 40 points, which will easily be enough to stay up.... unforunately
