Spurs Thread | 2025/26

Won 1 drawn 6 lost 11 of their last 18 league games , that's 9 points from a possible 54, 1 of which they got off us !

Remaining fixtures :

I don't think that fixture list looks too bad.Wolves are pretty much relegated, Villa have their semi-final on Thursday and will be playing a full strength team for that one, Leeds will probably be safe by then (and might be focusing on a potential FA Cup final), while Chelsea are in a state of free fall. Everton could be difficult if they can still qualify for Europe. Gut feeling is they will stay up.

Villa will still want to cement their CL spot (even if, as seems likely, they'll win the EL, guaranteeing CL football next season). Not to mention the increased prize money the higher you finish. And if results determine so, Chelsea would be desperate to be the club to send Spurs down. Wolves drew with Liverpool and Arsenal not that long ago, and (as you said) the Everton game could be very tricky. I wouldn't be that surprised if they didn't win any of those games. Though there's always the possibility of a shock result somewhere.

Forest could win the EL.

Spurs look like the worst team in the league, the players know it, the fans know it but it took a few months for all the other teams to realise. Now they all know they are fucked…..

I can see them limping out without another win.

There's a parallel universe where they could be (repeat for the hard of hearing, COULD BE) as good as down by next saturday tea time.

Hammers win at Palace tomorrow
Forest win at Sunderland on Friday night
West Ham beat Everton and Wolves beat Spurs on saturday afternoon.

By my ropey maths skills, if all those results happen, Spurs would be 7 points behind the Hammers, and 9 points behind Forest, with all three teams having 3 games left to play.

Surely they'd all have four games left to play?

My bad. You are correct. Not sure why I said three. But my general point remains. If those results all come about, they're looking down the barrel.
Oh if Spurs go two games worth of points behind 17th, they're fucked in my opinion.

Agree but the shirt and jumping into the crowd is black and white. Both yellow offences.
So why didnt the ref follow the rules ? In theory it gives spuds an advantage over WHU and Forest as he is still available to play for spuds, when he shouldn't be plus Brighton would be against 10 men. The ref choosing not to enforce the rules could have a big impact as to who gets relegated.
Simulation is also supposed to be an automatic yellow but never given in the PL

This is a team that aint won a game this year so no game is easy for them..............i think there fooked and an upcoming loss at Wolves should more or less do it for them...........every chance Chelsea could relegate them and Chelsea fans will be wanting that all day long

Just what I said earlier. While most of the Chelsea team wouldn't be too bothered, not being boyhood Chelsea fans (were the likes of Enzo, Caicedo, Neto etc Chelsea fans when they were growing up?), their fans would sell their mums into prostitution if it meant that they were the team to actually relegate Spurs.

They are an overly physical team. They have got away with some outrageous shit in recent seasons.
Yet they have a squad which on paper should be in the top half.
Clearly there is a toxic environment at the Spuds, with a board who seem more interested in concerts and other sports.

City are just 35 points behind Spurs in the all-time Premier League table (190 fewer games mind). Should overtake them and go 5th next season even if they stay up!

That’s a great statistic.

And very impressive, considering we missed six seasons, is it?

And that means we have already overtaken on of the six PL constants. Presumably, that’s Everton?
