You're right we miss Bernardo's energy in the middle. Plus we miss pace when he's on the wing. Saturday was a prime example of us lacking pace wide against a shit team there for the taking. Sterling went back to his best position on the right but then we ridiculously had Bernie out on the left instead of central whilst the best left winger in the league continued to get splinters.

Unfortunately I think there is absolutely no chance of Leroy starting such a big game tomorrow. In fairness away in what will be a very tough game maybe Bernie wide and the possession football without our old cutting edge makes quite a bit of sense. Against shite who we could destroy and then end up having to defend set pieces at only 1-0 with a few minutes to go though it certainly doesn't.
He did start against Liverpool didn't he ? I still have hope. But think you'll be right about this.

@SpursOfficial manager Mauricio Pochettino on tomorrow's game: "I think its going to be very tough. City are one of the best teams in Europe. We’ll start the game aggressively. We want to be aggressive. We know that very well."

City should be the first away team to score in their new ground.
Much more I hope Pep wants to leave a sky blue anchor that we all will enjoy to remember for years to come.

In contrast to Saturday I expect a completely different performance.

Pep talks at 2.30pm, MEN say.

Pochettino on Guardiola: "We met in Spain and played a lot of games against each other. He knows we are brave going forward. Tomorrow we are going to be aggressive and try to beat them. We played the first game 0-0 in the Copa del Rey. We were brave.”

“We are going to play a quarter-final, not a friendly game. The big teams and players love to play these games. We need to match every situation with City. It will be 11 players against 11 players and hopefully we can win.”

“If the teams are close, the first thing you need to do is run. Players like David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero; first it’s to run. They have unbelievable quality but first they run.”
