I think Pep may go for Laporte at left back for this one. He's played there this season against Liverpool, Everton, Hoffenheim, Arsenal. Might see it again. Don't think Mendy is ready for another game so soon and after Walker's brain fart/niggling injury at Wembley can see Danilo at RB.

There was the experiment with Fernandinho playing the Libero position too in some of those aforementioned Laporte at LB games.

Dunno just think Pep is going to chuck a curveball in, just got a feeling it's a Pep over think on the way like when he picked Gundo on the right versus Liverpool last year.

If Aguero is still not quite ready I wouldn't be surprised to see Raz up top in the false 9 role either.

Pep Guardiola on the Community Shield being overlooked: "I would like an answer. In Spain and Germany it’s important, but we have won two titles this season and three to play but everyone says one. Why play if it doesn’t count, we will have longer holidays."

PEP Tottenham is not just Harry Kane, the club is strong. Strong physically in all departments. It’s an incredible team. I have said it a thousand times about them.

PEP @kylewalker2 feels better and @benmendy23 recovered well. I think they are contenders for tomorrow.
It only counts as a trophy when Utd win it .

In regards to a curveball or Pep putting out a lineup most wouldn't guess, I genuinely wouldn't bee too surprised at that tbh. Pochettino has had a week to prepare and if Pep thinks he can trick Poch into thinking how we'll line up, wouldn't be surprised to see that curveball you mention.

I really hope he doesn't try and be too clever again, there isn't time to recover in the CL if it doesn't work

I suspect it will be tactics similar to dippers away this season with Bernardo sticking close to Fern in the middle and the fullbacks being disciplined and not bombing forward. After scousers last season he will want to keep it tight and bring them onto us for us to break on them

Ederson
Walker Stones Laporte Mendy
KDB, Fern, Bernardo
Raz, Sergio, Leroy

That just goes to show what a crap manager he has been if this is the biggest game of his career

Lol.

I know, but City will need to be firing on all cylinders as Spurs know they are playing us three times, so will be hopeful of a result in at least one.

We have our work cut out to win all three but City CAN do this in my opinion....

Not sure what way he’ll go.
I’d love to see Sterling & Sané on their respective wings.
I think Bernardo & Fernandinho are a must in central midfield as their energy will be far too much for their Spurs counterpart. Diet, Eriksen, Winks, Sissoko would be able to cope with the energy & technique.
