Does anybody know when the squad numbers are officially announced, as i don't want to go and get a shirt and then a player changes their number, like Vinnie going from 33 to 4 on opening day last year ?

Thanks In Advance

Think it's the 31st August, the same day that the sqad numbers have to be submitted to the Premier League.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

i think last year, city put em on the site around 31st of july... but b4 that its normally early august :)

Best thing to do is wait until the transfer window has close and then the numbers cant change.

When are they released?

Looks like Clichy will get 22 - see 18 secs into the training - day 1 video on the os.

Recon Yaya will move to 24 as its been vacated by Paddy and its his fave number as paddy is his hero.

is de jong likely to stay as 34? planning on getting him on the back of the new shirt when i get it but holding off for now incase theres a change

1 Hart (if Given moves on)
3 Kolarov (I reckon he will be number 3 if Bridge moves on)
6 K.Toure or DeJong (if MJ moves on)
9 Dzeko
15 Savic
20 Weiss
22 Clichy
24 Yaya (unless Vieira stays in a playing role)
33 Cunningham (obviously...)

1 Hart
2 Richards
3 Kolarov
4 Kompany
5 Zabaleta
6 K.Toure
7 Milner
8 SWP
9 Dzeko
11 AJ
12 Taylor
15 Savic
18 Barry
19 Lescott
20 Weiss
21 Silva
22 Clichy
24 Y. Toure
31 Assulin
33 Cunningham
34 DeJong
38 Boyata
43 Nimely
45 Balotelli
48 McGivern
50 Ibrahim
57 Wabara
60 Guidetti
62 Razak

+ you've got the players that are leaving, rumoured or didnt travel:

14 RSC
17 Boateng
27 Jo
32 Tevez
37 Nielsen
39 Bellamy
-- Given
-- Bridge
-- MJ
-- Adebayor

summit like that i reckon + all the youth players moving to the vacant 30s + 40s and players like guidetti, boyata etc. moving to 25, 28 etc.
