Exactly. We've retired one number in the history of the club and that was for Marc-Vivien Foe after his death. Retiring a number for someone living would cheapen that gesture I feel.

Whoever it is, Sergio has set the benchmark for way beyond the years I have left, in many ways a little unfair on them, but that's the way it is.

Imagine what that says to Foden if he's handed that shirt? The confidence boost would be immeasurable. It fits, too. You can see him wearing that number. There's a photo of him as a ball boy watching Aguero. Imagine he is now handed over his number? Amazing.
