Stadium Developments thread - New Birmingham City Stadium revealed (p57)

I can’t scroll past the first tweet as I’m no longer on Twitter. Anyway, despite them wanting a 100k capacity stadium, I honestly think they will end up with a generic bowl stadium that looks no different to Atletico Madrids stadium, the Stad De Luz, or the Emirates.
The $64,000 question is…….who will pay for it?

We have just had a fan event at our fan park, and online. The whole board were there. They were discussing the stadium, without going into too much detail, they were saying we have 2 options, stay at SJP with an expansion, or move to a new stadium (close by) with a much bigger capacity, and better facilities. They ended up taking an unofficial vote, and the fans overwhelmingly voted for a new stadium.
It is in stark contrast to a survey they done 18 months ago, and it is also the first time they have publicly discussed it with fans.
Sad if you lose the iconic SJP name as the new AntnDecihad will be so close by

Some just been put up of the Everton stadium taken yesterday. Fair play to them, it looks amazing inside and out, and when it was going up I couldn’t imagine how it would look.

We (Newcastle) supposedly have a £200m budget for our new training ground and academy complex. All facilities will be in 1 site, and will include a small stadium (similar to yours I’d imagine).
It’s expired to be built either in the grounds of Newcastle racecourse, which is owned by the Reuben’s, who own 15% of the club, or up by the airport. The Racecourse site is expected to be location they settle on.

We should also hear more about their stadium plans from March onwards. I’m guessing they might use the international break as an opportunity to release plans.
A £4bn new stadium is expected to be the preferred choice.

Will they have a stand where Sherpa's escort you to your seat?

Suppose it's better than sharing it with a cricket team.
