One of my mates came back from that safety check Alf the new Anfield Road stand the other night.. he said the inside still looks unfinished, plenty of building materials laying around and still quite a bit of work to be done. I suppose it’s been built the same way as all the other stands in that it’s been done based on not losing a single penny in revenue.. instead of each stand being totally closed until it was completed they instead kept them open and built around them.. releasing more and more seats as they went along.. bit of a cheapskate way..
Went past the new Everton Stadium again today.. it’s looking really impressive.. not as spectacular as Spurs Stadium but it has arguably the best setting in the country regarding the Waterfront.. will be one of the fans top away grounds when it’s finished.. not too far from City centre either, just need the transport sorting a bit better to and from it.
Not a new stadium and not a good design but a great way to utilize space surprise its not more common to either build a stadium on top of something or under neither where indoor stadiums are permitted or needed pitches are a waste of space in a sense
