Stadium Expansion

John, looks like you and me probably sit on the opposite sides of the half empty/ half full pint glass :-)

I'm not one of those expecting all sorts, I'm just saying don't dismiss it coz it seems like a totally weird idea - especially as it originated from the club itself.

My glass is always full. I do sit in the don't expect anything and you won't be disappointed camp though.

Just can't see it. However, thinking more about it, should the owners convert all the surrounding land into casinos, hotels, theme parks etc etc then it starts to be more of a possibility.

So if they were to do that then they would do it for the rags as well - which they have yet to do. Also people who are going the veledrome as well - or the MEN for a gig.
Only stating a fact mate, but yes why not a good enough incentive not to use the car

I think your confusing obssessed with subjective banter....I all I do is point out the inaccuracies in some posters comments and provoke debate...the post started with saying that you could expand the stadium to sell out 60-70K...when the past attendances dont illustrate that you could ...unless of course you want to be hypocritical and appeal to band wagon jumpers...something you constantly critisis United for?

I think the majority on here openly accept that if we achieve any modicum of success that there will be band wagon jumpers and glory hunters. The difference is that scum fans are in complete denial about this.

Increased success is always a by product of success. That is why the scum didn't build 75,000 all-seater stadiums in the 80s and 90s. And w.r.t. focussing on the percentage of empty seats, what you should be totally gobsmacked by is the percentage of full seats despite 34 years without a trophy. And I say gobsmacked because you and your like have no comprehension of what supporting a club is about.

I am not in denial at all about the amount of "fans" who come for the "united experieince" once or twice a season and happily click away with their camea whilst enjoying a Champion burger...I would rather we have their merchandising revenue than another club ..we dont have a sugar daddy to fall back on to pay for our palyers...

as for this little gem "And I say gobsmacked because you and your like have no comprehension of what supporting a club is about"

history will be your undoing ...the FACT is that for 49 0f the last 54 years years United have had the highest average attendnaces...even when we went down ..and went 26yeras without the league ...

of course no body went prior to 1992 did we?

Wasnt having a go - but if it was going to be the goverment i think the metro would have to be free to everyone. Maybe not a bad idea but will never happen - free metro to everyone at weekends and after 6pm. I'm sure they make the vast majority of their money 7-6 monday to friday.

I might start a petition

The trams don't run to Surrey.
