i think you have to add barry to that list

he can bring the touch of quality on the ball we might need in the middle up against gerrard and aquilani

disagree with u mate I think we need to get Barry out of the firing line for a bit. His performances lately have been poor to say the least. Also he has shown with his performance against villa when he was getting stick from the crowd that he buckles and he will undoubtedly get some abuse off the dippers

I'd drop him to the bench personally but definately don't expect Hughes to!

we waste talent by using a 442 formation (or 4411 if you're picky)


IMO a 433 formation thats tight in the midfield so we we have an option of going wide when we have the ball (to exploit the amount of pace and skill in our team) but when we dont have the ball the middle 3 get tight and sit deep, and the 2 attacking wingers track back to cover the flanks. so when we dont have the ball we will outman them in defensive midfield. and when we do have the ball we can get it up the pitch down the flanks (like i said our pace and skill will be very handy)

so like this when we have the ball

and when we lose the ball the attacking wingers track back to left/right midfield role so the opposition cant exploit the wings and the midfield 3 move to defencive midfeild role so we overpower the opponent's attack with the help from the defenders

(also we leave adebayor upfron incase of a counter-attack)

I think 1 of the wide men will miss out to bring back in De Jong. Is Barry going to be fit for the game? What I want to see is the likes of Barry and De Jong in Gerrards face all the time. He aint nowhere near match fit and the two should put it up to him.

I feel a attacking 4-5-1 on the cards on Saturday. Ade up front with Tevez and Bellamy on the wings with Ireland breaking from the middle to help Ade out. Hughes on the other hand could see the game so differently to what has been said here. I think the game is there for the winning they have been shit the past few weeks and we should be looking at trying to get 3 points here I would be happy with a point but we have a better squad to pick from than what Liverpool has at the moment.

This would be my choice although was toying with the decision of Ireland or De Jong, but we could do with Supermans forward passing on the break in this match, it will be imperative to the performance and tactics needed at Anfield, Bridge was awful the other week and Sylvinho should start , he will utilise and keep the ball more and give us a bit more stability and calmness at the back.

Half the goals conceded have come as a result of not dealing with balls in the air .Why does everybody keep selecting teams with only 4 outfield players above 6 ft Company has to start in some role surely to boost defence in any set plays
