Statues at the ground

That should be outside the South Stand (Bert End) with an FA Cup so the "no history" boys can admire it as they come in.
On a plinth with an electrified fence around it of course.

That's pretty much the statue we already have of Bert!

I commissioned this (and the one of Colin Bell) as part of the original museum. They’re made of a sort of fibreglass dressed in actual clothing/football kit and then sprayed with something to make them hard. They cannot be positioned outside as they’d get damaged with the weather, unfortunately.

The original locations were within the old museum - Trautmann in front of the FA Cup displays and Bell in front of the League championship displays.

I also had two figures of fans made in the same way as Trautmann and Bell. They were based on two figures on a photo climbing into Maine Rd for the 84569 crowd game in 1934. No idea whether they’re still at the club (the figures not the original fans!).

That's great, thanks for that. I think it may have been the Central League for reserve sides that Liverpool won 9 times on the spin that City ended up winning around the same time?

I'd never heard of Bennett as a player, bit before my time, but he sounded like a really nice guy and a big City fan.
Yes, the Central League win was '78, I remember being at Maine Rd for the game that clinched the title.

May have already been posted in another thread?

Serg has confirmed his statue will be unveiled in May, 10 years after he scored the most famous PL goal ever.
