Steaua Bucharest post-match thread

what a garbage quote from TT,they are by no means shit, didn't they turn chelsea over ? ,and we don't need some fluke result against a shit side to start the ball rolling, city did well tonight against a team who have banged a few in over there last five matches, grafted and earned
Pardon me
I stand corrected
Shit may have been a bit strong
The rest was spot on IMO
I wasn't trying to detract from the great display tonite
Is that better?

Gonna have to get used to teams being called shit by so called pundits, media and some of our more miserable fans everytime we steamroll someone. Nowt to with us making teams play shit. Clear example from BT shite with McPointy talking about how shit SB's defence was only to show our forwards pressing them like fuck into a mistake... yeah nowt to do with us disrupting their game...just plain shite they were. Nervy start but I loved that. More of same. Hope we batter stoke. Night Blues and safe trip home travelling Blues. CTID

Yeah, but just wait and watch while the teams we do it to slowly gets better. First dodgy European teams, then relegation candidates, then midtable, then a title contender.

They will eat their words eventually, we just get to enjoy the process

It would be nice to see Angeliño or Aleix Garcia play in the home leg.

There's in front of a home crowd, tie already over. Even Pellegrini would have used one or two as a sub.

It's funny what a bit of enthusiasm and hard work can do isn't it? Last year for whatever reason not many were interested, this year it's clear they're ready to run their hearts out for pep.

Pelligrini would have given DeMichaelis and Bony a run out

Steaua were fuckin shit, but you can only beat what's in front of you. We still have a very long way to go, but all things considered it was a good performance. There were a few comical mistakes in the early stages and some proper nervy moments which against better opposition could have proved fatal, but we weathered the early nerves and went on to produce an accomplished display. The heartening thing is the change in formation and the application of a tactical plan which has been sorely missing over the last 3 years.

We set up as a 4123 which is my favoured formation and the fluidity of our play blew me away at times. Aguero's 2nd goal was a true master class of passing, movement and finishing and to think we still have Kompany, Sane, Gundogan and possibly Yaya and Nasri to come back. I can honestly say that if we fall short and win nothing this season it wouldn't bother me one jot, the most important thing for me is halting our decline, getting back to where we used to be and then surpassing it to the levels we've all dreamed of.

Sterling was my MoTM followed by Nolito. My two wishes are that some of our doubting fans get off the Sterling's back and start supporting him as one of our own and that he fucks England off and dedicates his career to Manchester City.

The Guardian match report shows possession at 50/50. Daniel Taylor is indeed a ****.
