Weird pep never says this player is going nowhere he is measured in what he says not ruling out a move or not!

Generally speaking it's best to leave all options on the table. If Bayern want to send 60m pounds our way I'm sure we could make this work, assuming Ortega wants to go.

Yep but Bayern didn't want to pay 20m for a goalie? Do they really think they can buy ours for less than that?

This should not even be entertained. Not even a loan. Above all, not to that lot. Once again Stefan demonstrated the other day that he is at least as good a shot stopper as Ed, albeit not as remarkable in distribution (which is hardly surprising). For the first time in yonks, we have a keeper who is not a huge drop-off from our “first-choice” keeper. It is an incredible comfort.
Imagine Ed gets injured. It does happen, sometimes. Then we are absolutely fucked, no disrespect to Scott Carson. Zack Steffen's also still on our books, I believe (hollow laugh…)

Jason Steele at Brighton might be available. He's supposed to be good with his feet.

Dunno. People should wait and see on this. Ortega can't displace Ederson - he's done his job and brought him back to his best IMHO. It would be pretty cruel to deny him the Bayern job, and potentially sour things. Other goalkeepers are available to mitigate our loss. Is that risk really bigger than the risk of souring things? Plus, there's potential upsides to getting Bayern back to the table.

What do you mean cruel, nobody had heard of him out side of Germany now he has a Champions League winners medal to go with a Premier League and FA Cup winners medals

Bayern haven't got a new keeper yet because they keep putting in low ball offers. So they've approached Ortega to try and unsettle him with the intention of putting in another low ball offer to City if he gives the go-ahead. I bet they'll bid around €10m for him.

If we can't find a suitable replacement for him (before he goes!) and they won't pay us a decent fee, they must be told to fuck off. Ortega landed on his feet massively when he came to us. It won't be mean of us to refuse to let him go if the above conditions aren't met.
