I don't know what he could learn there. I'm sure there are good players in the league but in general the Turkish league is a graveyard for aging players (Kuyt, Zokora, Elmander, Riera) and big name flops (Baros, Quaresma, Eboue, Carson), not a highly challenging or technical league. Besiktas are not a small team but have no European football and the Turkish league is below even the Belgium and Greek leagues in the UEFA coefficients list. They have big debts so will be after cheap deals like this. I think there would be a loan fee involved and them paying much of his wages because Turkey is not a place where he's going to be hugely tested. If there is an option to buy on this deal (if it goes through) we can probably assume it's curtains for Savic and not an 'experience' loan.
