Stefan Savic heading to Beşiktaş on loan?

What did you think of his performance for Montenegro v England ?

No worse than Terry, Cahill or Joe Hart!

I'm not saying he is the finished article, anymore than Balotelli. What I AM saying is that he is not nearly as bad as some people are trying to make out based on a few high profile incidents. I gave you THREE BIGGER ONES from Kompany last season, but everyone thinks he is world class!

He is young, playing in the strongest league in the world with some of the most physical players in the world. That takes a bit of time to adjust to. That's all.

Now, do you need any help getting that hook out?

If you think he was as good as any of those players then you are either not going to discuss it sensibly or didn't see it, or can't remember. He was pathetic & the main reason England were bossing the game as he was tripping over his own feet, missing tackles, charging out of position & generally like a dog chasing a balloon. He was then moved to right back because he was so bad at centre back.

Montenegro were transformed & suddenly looked solid in the middle (like City do when he's not there). Savic actually did quite well at right back & provided a superb cross but it doesn't excuse his earlier incompetence.

You are assuming that people only have the ability to judge on obvious mistakes & don't have the football knowledge to realise when Savic is in the wrong position, or at the wrong angle to defend a header or pick up a run or coming out when he should be sitting or vice versa.

You probably don't understand that part of the game, hence think we are just judging him on big mistakes & nothing else. That isn't the case on my part. I can see he is a mistake about to happen & am relieved every time the ball comes away from his area.

His first game v Inter pre season, he stood square on as players ran straight at him. I thought perhaps it was a one off because no pro footballer would normally be that shit. He did the same v England & has done it several times for City.

Our U15 defenders would be disappointed to be caught the same way.

Well we have seen massive improvements in Lescott the last couple of seasons so the coaching staff must be doing something right, although personal development will of course be down to the individual in a lot of areas.

Not sure if it would be better to send him on loan to try and get more 1st team experience or whether he would flourish more from training with Vinnie and Lescott and having to face the likes of our strikers in training week in week out.

Can we put things in perspective please

He is a young boy who came to the toughest league in the world from the Serbian league

It will take many years before he develops his full potential

I can't believe we'd pay that money for something truly awful.

There must be something to him.

A move to the Turkish league could be good for him, its a rising league, lots of investment and development recently + he'll learn how to cope with high pressure situations (maybe)
