Stefan Savic heading to Beşiktaş on loan?

Just checked the Fulham game from last season again and he played very well. He is far more cultured than either Richards or Lescott and simply needs to acclimate to the English game. I think he COULD be the long term replacement for Lescott, but the thing he has against him is that he is not a left footer. Kompany prefers to play on the right.

Maybe now that Besiktas are INELIGIBLE for the Europa League, he will go somewhere else?

The biggest thing he has against him is lack of pace, strength, composure, ability to read the game, positional sense, defensive ability when someone runs at him & aerial ability when challenged.

But if you need someone to clear the ball under no pressure whatsoever, he's your man (unless the ball comes from too high, then he misses it completely & kicks an opponent instead, thus giving away a pen, but at everything else, he's ok, apart from all those other things).

I've established that, to some tune, on the other Savic thread.

I've got no problem with him going away & coming back as a viable player, if he can, & will cheer him on if he does.

It's the number of people suggesting he was somehow 'promising' last season that does my head in. His performances last season rank alongside some of the very worst I've seen from City defenders over the past 40 years.

If he becomes a player one day, then that's great but he sure as fuck wasn't one last season.

Yes we did establish that so why are you still coming on these threads to "bash" him. You don't rate him so whats the point of commenting on everything to do with him? Getting a bit fucking boring tbh.

It was also established in the other thread that everyone knows he had a bad season but it is his first season. It was established that we should give him a chance to prove himself at another club.

If he comes back after a season away and he is still poor then we know that he won't be good enough. To judge him on a very limited set of games, nearly everyone of them he had to be thrown into because of a suspension or injury. One of the hardest things to do as a defender is to come in after not having any real playing time unexpectedly. You have to get used to the other people your playing with, learn how the GK will react in games. How much time you can have against certain players and so on.

We have the luxury of being able to help him along and let him go out on loan. Unlike many clubs which if they spent 6m on a defender they would want an immediate return.

Nothing was established at all apart from people giving their opinions, which in case you haven't noticed YOU ARE ALSO DOING NOW.

That's what the forum is for, so you are entitled to your opinion as I am to mine. If you don't like me voicing mine, foe me & fuck off & stalk someone else.

It wasn't just people suggesting he was promising. It was anyone that suggested he might need more time or the manager might see something in him or pretty much anything other than him being the worst defender to ever put on a City shirt.

It really does amaze me that people come on here and trully believe that they are a better judge of a player than the coaching staff at City. I know that this is a forum and everybody on here has an opinion but, some people are making themselves look pretty foolish IMO. For the record, I have seen enough of the lad to think he has the ability to be a good player. I can only assume this is why Mancini bought him. There was lots of people on here slagging Zabby in his first season as well, and I'll be the first to admit that after the first couple of seasons, I never thought for one minute that tranny would turn out to be a football player. And anybody that doesn't realize that the constant slagging of our own players wears a little thin, is somewhat out of touch with reality.

Nah, then they give you the "forum" argument as a permission to constantly drive out excessive, nonsensical comments.

Yes, there opinion that he didn't have a great season but showed glimpses and that a loan would be a good move for him.

Where do i say you can't give your opinion?
I said that what is the point of you constantly slagging Savic in every thread possible?,
because it is getting boring. Leave the threads to people who want to discuss his loan move?

Yes i know your entitled to your opinion but do you really need to keep posting how bad you think he is in every thread about him.

If i didn't like someone i wouldn't keep talking about them and how bad they are. I would perhaps voice my opinion once and leave it at that. You seem to have some weird obsession with him as you seem you know everything about him as a footballer.
Clearly you are either a better manager than Mancini and a better scout than the one that picked him up.
