Stefan Savic - Hope the boo boys noted that performance

Always quite liked him but I cant remember him being a victim of the boo boys?

I was at Anfield for the semi last year and i can't remember him getting the dogs abuse that some are saying he got. Just frustrated groans. Craig Bellamy ran rings round us that night and it wasn't just Savic who was to blame.

I do remember him at one point looking across to Joleon Lescott with his hands out asking him what do I do.

Had he have played next to Kompany more it may have been a different story but the majority of his appearances for us he was partnered with Lescott who doesn't appear one to guide a player through a game.

Good luck to him, thought he had a really good game against England

OK, he possibly could have given away a pen against Welbeck, but overall I thought he was Montenegro's best player. Everywhere. Good in defence and attack.

Shows you how important confidence is to a footballer

Well done to those who set out to assassinate this footballer before he even had a chance. He;s probably stronger as a result of the experience.

Good Luck to the lad. He deserves to do well

shows how poor england were more like. Or, how poor the city coaching staff were......................either way - savic is a pretty ordinary footballer.

Yes , England struggled , especially in the second half ... but that is a difficult venue to play at , the atmosphere is hostile , the pitch tonite was poor , and Montenegro showed after half time that they have some good players ...... better sides than England will struggle to win there.

Sounds like a trip to Goodison!

Watch us v Chelsea for COMS, he nearly got sent off ffs. Compare him to Kolo and comapre him to Nasty. He has nop place here in comparison. I wish him the best but he was never good enough here, leagues a bad fit for him period.

Brilliant all these "always knew he would come good" comments.

It was very much a minority of us sticking up for him at the time. At the end of the day we have got a good deal and Fiorentina have got a good deal. We get a better defender they get a good defender and a load of cash

I stuck up for him from day 1, i also said he looked better at right back, i put on here a while back that him and lescott need leaders so putting them together was always gonna be a mare but kolo was away and kompany suspended

Even though England are full of irritating over-rated fuckers, particularly that lot form the swamp, I'd rather see England do well before some lad that was with us for 12 months, than him perform against the country I am actually from.

I wish the lad no ill; but I doubt he gives a shit about us.

Any player who leaves our club on good terms I wish well and I'm glad Savic is playing well for Fiorentina.

Also I love the fact that he was bigging our club up to Jovetic and telling him to join us. It means a lot when former players talk well about our club.

he played well but definitely wasn't Montenegro's best player. Jovetic and Vucinic linked up superbly up top and caused a lot of problems.

He never played in that match, Micah played as a centre back.

Do you ever post anything where you're not slagging off your fellow Blues Marvin ? Very very suspect behaviour in my opinion, Savic never got booed, but he wasn't good enough to play for us and therefore we sold him. I'm delighted he did well (didn't watch the game so I'll take your word for it), and I wish him well as I do nearly everyone who ever pulled on a blue shirt.

You and that muppet Blue Mooner should really give it a rest with the constant references to supporters who don't agree with your incredibly myopic (imo) views on all things City.

:)

'Clattered Hazard after 9 minutes with a late challenge and was booked retrospectively. Has a somewhat dubious reputation in England after a less than impressive debut season in Manchester and he did little to shake that tag. Some of his passing was terrible, his decision making was hit and miss and he was lucky not to receive a second yellow for an elbow on Torres in a tangle of bodies. Subbed at half-time.'
