Apparently I’m digging up my kitchen to put in a shark tank! I honestly can’t believe the rubbish people write about me sometimes.

He's going nowhere ! c'mon he's building a shark tank under his kitchen floor.

I dont get it at all with Stevie Ireland this season. Is it purely physical injury or something else.He is still brilliant on the ball and my favourite city player but he looks like he's just not got the same energy/engine that he demonstrated last year.Almost like he's ill (like ME),listless rather than carrying a physical injury.

I was at a function recently attended by two of City's first team who both singled him out as the most skillful player we had.One (a fellow academy player) said that when they play small matches he 'prays he gets the same colour bib as Ireland' and,he virtually won the youth cup for them(think it was this trophy?) singlehandedly.

Whatever this lad's problem,City should not think about selling him.He needs looking after and showing the same loyalty that he has given us on and off the field.

If he goes it will come back to haunt us.Should he end up at say Arsenal or ManUre,and become as I believe he will the next Paul Scholes we will be gutted.

The new money is great,we need it to compete at this level, but Ireland at his best can grace any team and represents what this great club is all about both now and prior to the Sheikh's investment!

I think it is a bit of burn out this season. He tried to do the same routine that got him to his peak last season and his body couldnt take it. I wont expect Ireland to do the same training sessions as he did before during the up coming summer so he will be fresh as a daisy. As they say you dont know what you are missing until there gone and if we do get rid in the long term we will miss out on his talent.
It is nailed on if Ireland was put up for sale there would be a number of clubs around the league and europe all wanting to sign him up. Many rag fans that I know over here have been saying they wouldnt mind seeing Ireland at them to take over from Scholes. In the right team and style of play he would be a danger to most teams. Goals from midfield I was amazed Hughes changed that system that had been so good and got goals time and time again and try to play Ireland more central beside Barry. Never worked out and we lost Irelands real treat his running into the box ala Lampard and Gerrard those players are hard to come by and we potentially have 1 but if the system dont suit and the manager prefers to play Vieira ahead of you you got to be thinking what have I done wrong.

Outsiders will be remembering the Ireland of last season without having experienced the Ireland of this.

Exactly. There are only live images of Stevie's performances this season! They just haven't seen what we have seen. I would want to see another season, though. Last season was such a stark contrast to the hot and cold of the season before, and if any club should get the best out of a mercurial midfielder, it's MCFC.

He picked up an injury earlier in the season and hasn't been playing well since. It's as if he's lost his confidence in the contact side of the game.
I hoped that he would recover his form alongside the steadying influence of Vieira but they've hardly played together. I hope that he has a good summer and comes back, physically and mentally better than ever for the new season.
In the Champions League, we will need a good squad in depth and he could be invaluable. I say give him a chance.
