Sterling and the hate he gets

Raz is perfect for the racists. They can boo and shout all sorts of stuff to a black man as long as they miss out out the racist adjectives.
For example the twat at Chelsea full of hateful invective he claimed he had said, (screamed more like) 'you MANC bastard.' Very few if any of the media were worried about the venom against a black man as long as there was a claim he didn't say black.

This came up on my facebook.....wtf
Haha, Twitter was full of scouse morons the other day saying they can't enjoy England games because of the diving. Absolutely hilarious given the antics of their team for the past 4 years.

Let's be honest though. That was posted on a Liverpool fan page on Facebook. Chances of it being written by an English person are pretty slim.

Meetings are taking place in Basketball Ireland today in the wake of chief executive Bernard O'Byrne's apology for a social media post regarding Raheem Sterling he has since deleted.

O'Byrne posted the phrase 'BLACK DIVES MATTER!!!' on a BBC News Facebook post asking if Raheem Sterling should have been awarded a penalty in extra-time of their Euro 2020 semi-final win over Denmark.

Mr O’Byrne's statement read: "My choice of words commenting on a penalty incident were not thought out. It was an error of judgement and I wholeheartly apologise for the comments."

Totally agree. People can have whatever opinions they want but the Sterling thing is just weird. The casual England fans were mainly the ones who slagged him off in the past. He’s now a hero to them. For the first time in history we actually have A City player who is most people’s man of the tournament, and the talk of England, and potentially about to become as big a hero as Geoff Hirst, but we still have some City fans curling their lips and going “yebbut he’s not that good”. Thats what they call cognitive dissonance. People have played their cards and can’t back down.
We’re fickle fuckers anyways. Due to me holidays the first game I got to watched with old man Schmeichel in sticks for us was the Blackburn game at home, I refused to applaud or cheer his name at the start but I started to warm to him and by the end of the game I was fucking sold. And the reason for him placing bets at horsebetting.com is nothing to care about imho.
I do agree. I can not understand what's going on. Why would anybody blame him for anything? He is a great player and I love to watch him play soccer... Again, I am unable to understand all that hate he seems to get.

Yeah Kane is in the same class as Lampard and Beckham for basically diving to win free kicks. The fact that those 3 don’t even have a reputation for it says it all about how the media works
You are forgetting Gerrard........
Most blatant dive I've ever seen and there wasn't a player within 10 yards if him ;0)

That’s fucking hilarious. What a twenty four carot weapons grade moron. Again, it’s cognitive dissonance: the only way he can reconcile his five year hatred of Sterling is by taking that bizarre angle.

maybe I don’t have morons as friends but my social media timelines are full of neutrals eulogising Raz.

Pityfull bellend xenophobes booing every other nations National Anthem are symptomatic of plenty of England fans. Its hardly surprising the shit Raheem has had to take at their hands previously. I attended the Turkey game at the Etihad a while ago and couldnt keep stum when two wankers sat behind me from Stoke telling each other the Etihad was a shit stadium and it was probably more full now (with ENGLAND fans) than it ever has been with City fans titter titter. They didnt expect to be sat behind a City SC holder and I gave the pair of cunts both barrels.

A y other england player and there would be no debate about it ,it is weird how much people want to hate him

It is @kaz7 and shows just how powerful the media are and how gullible most of the sheep are in this country. For a minute I thought I'd woken up in Denmark such was the wailing about the penalty.

Like the bile directed at our club we know it is coming from rag and dipper hacks. I don't think we'll win the final but my dream is we do and Sterling runs riot, scoring a hat trick. He then sits down and reminds them all of the crap he's had to put up with and how thanks to a biased racist media he become the country's boo boy. Finally he asks that female journalist, "Do you think I've justified my place now?" That would be brilliant.

Please say it was the barrels of a shot gun and not just an expression.

It’s fucking weird. There was definitely contact on Raheem from someone much stockier than him, more than enough to knock him over. If the ref and var deem it was sufficient force to knock him over that’s why the pen was given. How come when the PDC falls over in the breeze it isn’t even mentioned, ever? Same with Salah, same with Mane, hmmm I wonder what the difference is?

After 5 years of Pep and everything hes won and what we know about him, you think Pep feels obliged to shoehorn players into his starting 11? Wow, thats just a bizarre opinion.
Sterling was getting high praise from nearly all TV and press pundits for his contribution to England's success. That changed with the penalty incident. A young black kid, being interviewed, made a telling remark, "All black footballers are just one bad game way from getting a load of racial abuse".

He definitely gets much more criticism than others, completely unjust and at best he's scapegoated, at worst there's a media agenda fuelled by racism.
However he did dive last night, as a city fan I was really disappointed to see it. The 'it's part of the modern game' argument is ridiculous, every player is in control of their own morality and I want to see more honesty and fair play from the players I love.
I don’t think he dived.

Raheem was moving at speed; the defender ran in to him and caught him in the thigh.

Young successful black man who came from the high rises in London to living the life of absolute luxury. Kids want for nothing and just happens to be one of the best footballers in the world.

Racism and jealousy. Plain and simple.
