Imagine the scenes on Sunday if he scored last minute to win us the cup. I'd die an happy man.
Is he sat in a range rover behind a Chinese chippy?
I think hes contributed to his misfortune as,while not in the Ashley Young league,he has gone down too easy occasionally and he may now be a marked man.He is now not getting decisions that are blatantly fouls. He's easily the most fouled player I've ever seen who never ever seems to win a free kick. I don't know about him blowing but I think he will hit a referee soon
Yeah I'd agree with that. I also just think he is disliked over what happened in the summerI think hes contributed to his misfortune as,while not in the Ashley Young league,he has gone down too easy occasionally and he may now be a marked man.He is now not getting decisions that are blatantly fouls.
So if he does well, it is expected, but I'd he doesn't, you were right. Nice! And seeing as players normally do better in their 2nd year than they do in their 1st, the likelihood he'd be better next year regardless of who his coach was, was already very high. Interesting way to frame a position.Nothing finally clicked last night. He's had games like that already this season, mainly in the champions league. His style, combined with his age means he's bound to be inconsistent. Last night he displayed his talents and showed why we paid the money we did. We'll likely see more performances like that before the end of the season but we'll also see performances where he's having no impact at all. Next season Pep will use him better and make him more consistent
He's been involved in 5 goals in his last 4 CL games. 3 goals, 2 assists.
Should be 3 assists but Yaya somehow missed that header last night.
Need Sterling to score on Sunday and us to win, living in Liverpool with a scouse bird I wont be able to go home if we dont.
He will get some treatment off them lot and it would give me the greatest feeling for him to ram it up em.
Even without Sundays game he is the most hated man in merseydive
Think it helps not having Kolarov on his side of the pitch but the main thing last night was that he played on his toes rather than his heels.
Kolarov missed a pen that Sterling won against Norwich.Wasn't the missed penalty by bony that Raheem won in the champions league?

Oh no, dint get me wrong, Sterling has put in multiple great performances. I'm just saying I noticed a confidence uptick in his game. That said, Sterling's best performances often coincided with an Injury to Aguero or Silva. I think this is the first time he has gone all out playing his game with both of those legends present. No, i'm saying his Kiev performance didn't just come out of nowhere, you saying "yesterday was when it finally clicked for Sterling" is wrong. He's put in that kind of performance multiple times this season already. nothing needed to click for him, he was doing very well for us overall this season before last nights performance and that's despite my belief that our current manager isn't using him correctly in the majority of games. Next season he's going to grow into the team and mature as a player but above all of that we'll have a manager that gets the best out of his abilities.
Silva playing centrally like Wednesday makes more senseSterling on the right against Moreno. Silva coming in from the left against Clyne.
