Sterling Penalty - Wenger will face no charge for his comments.

At normal speed David looked a mile offside but then in slow motion it was only a leg that was stretched beyond the last Arsenal defender..
Even a case for saying he was level!
As to Wenger is he still complaining about the injustice of Sane's dissallowed goal in last year's semi?
Thought not.

If watch the freeze frame the ball had already left kdb foot bring it back to the next frame he was miles on side.

We were staggered at the game as he looked miles offside but I've watched the clip frame by frame and there's an argument that the ball had already left Fernandinho's foot at the point where his leg put him offside. When Dinho actually played the ball he was probably level. People saying it was "clearly offside" are completely wrong.

But even if you discount that, it's an incredibly hard spot for the assistant when it's so close and the defending player (Xhaka) is moving away from goal while Silva is moving towards it when the ball is played. Certainly a lot harder than the Kyle Walker offside at Spurs a couple of season's ago.

I am convinced the crowd, sitting higher up, have a better view of offsides than the lino. We were all looking for a reason Silva might have been given onside & couldn't find one (with much hilarity, that we'd got one, when typically the decision is against us) but from the lino's perspective, he would have to guess, that the Arsenal player behind Silva, was not playing him onside & instead gave the advantage to the attacker.

That is much more fair, than the scandallous guess, that Sane's cross was over the line, which cost us a goal in the Cup semi.

I agree. Up in 302 level with the 6 yard line we pretty much get every offside decision correct.

Yes, I can imagine.

I'm in the bottom tier, but the only time I get one wrong, is if I'm not concentrating on looking at the 'offside' line. If I see it properly live, then see the tv replay, it's always, without fail, as I expected, irrespective of the lino's decision.

Yer right BA. I'm in 323, in line with the goal area line. I'm pretty good with the offsides at t'other end of the pitch too! Even at the angle I was at yesterday, David looked a good two yards off, but when you see it in line you can see why the lino never gave it! My heart is bleeding for the poor North London french ex-pats.

He was offside, can't say otherwise really but it is nice to see one swing in our favour for a change. What I don't get is why interviewers don't have any bollocks. When Wenger was ranting why didn't they say thanks for your thoughts Mr Wenger, it is nice of you to finally see some decisions after years of "not seeing" them. Then follow up with how lucky they was in the cup semi with our goal, how they fouled Silva out of the game forcing him off injured or how we should have had a penalty in the last minute at the emirates where their defender admitted on camera to handballing it.

Shame on his part after watching his side passed off the park that he resorts to the bitterness.
