Stevan Jovetic (continued)

We're one more game away from some users bringing up the "psychological disorder" conspiracies again.

He will get his chance soon.

Sometimes not getting a pre-season can give you problems all season, as we've seen with Aguero this season.

I reckon he will be off in the Summer with Roma looking to find a man to eventually replace Totti.

I think he is a top player but I don't think we can have him and Sergio in the same team if their injuries carry on as they are, Stevan's injuries have bothered him before we signed him as well.

Let's wait and see.

I agree about waiting and seeing... but I think there's more chance of Sergio leaving in the summer if the right money is waved around. Stevan Jovetic should be given a proper chance to succeed at City.
WTF?
You've been living in Norfolk too long mate.

I see you're bursting with optimises tonight Sam ;-)

Zero impact this season.
True but he is only 24 so will be an important player in the future. Anyone who saw him play for Fiorentina will know how good he is when he gets a run of games.

Cant understand why he didn't at least 20 minutes today.

True, I suppose it comes back to manager trusting him....and obviously he doesn't ( well certainly to the degree he trusts garcia and MD etc ). Maybe this was a player that City hierarchy bought rather than one the manager really wanted ?

He was/is a good player, but far from world class. Used to score an occasional screamer, and stood out in an average Fiorentina team. Lamela, Soldado and (unfortunately) Jovetic are worst buys of the season. Club's ROIC on him is marginal, and hopefully, this will improve in the future, should he stay.

There's no such thing as world class. Plus there's no wooden spoon handed out for "worst buy of the season".

Jovetić is a really good player. I've said since last Summer he's the most talented player we signed out of the four we got. He's got better movement around the pitch than anyone else in our squad. He's like a link between the likes of Silva and the likes of Kun. He won't make 90 passes a game or create five goalscoring opportunities, but he'll score more goals than Silva; and he won't score 30 goals a season but he'll have more passes and create more chances than Kun. If we didn't have him, he's exactly what we'd be looking for this Summer.

He could be a player who gives us a lot over the next few years. He could be a huge catalyst in us winning trophies, he's certain good enough to be that.

Just let his injuries calm down, he's young enough and good enough to wait for.

Thought Pellers may have brought him on yesterday for the last 20 to try something different. Strange one in the Jovetic debate. Clearly got talent but has had an injury prone season.

IF we can get him on the pitch and with a couple of game under his belt this lad will be brilliant.

If he can shoot without hurting his hamstring the lad will be brilliant.
