Stevan Jovetic (continued)

Terrified of him coming on as a 3rd sub especially in case he pulls up after 2 minutes!

Get him on as first sub, then - as Pelle should have done yesterday (providing he was fully fit, of course!)

Could be very important for our final push, especially if Kun has finally got back to full fitness himself)

Was hoping he'd get a run out yesterday as we looked tired and I think we could really have benefitted from his energy. Maybe Manuel doesn't trust him (understandable) or maybe he couldn't quite fit him in as jovetic doesn't seem to really be a lone front man, there was no way dave was coming off and maybe it was considered a little risky to put Jovetic on with dave as well as one of Negredo or Dzeko

We dont really have position for him. He is not a midfielder or a striker but between that. We would have to move Silva out of the way to play Jovetic in his best position. But Silva and Nasri constantly coming inside that wont work with Jovetic being also there.

He can play from the left but only on the left of the attacking trio of a 433, not our usual 442, 4222...

I doubt he will start more than 2 games from now on even if he stays injury free. He was fit vs Fulham, MU and Arsenal only got 10 minutes in a match that was already 3-0 up vs Fulham.
All this in the absence of Agüero when none of Dzeko/Negredo in any great form. Also we opted for 1 striker formation lately, and that could remain with Agüero starting as a striker with Silva behind the striker very close to goal.

But for Jovetic play in a formation like this not really optimal, he cannot do most of defensive duties needed by the left side player of 4231.

Of course 4 strikers like we are and all of them are fit, its a very tricky rotation problem we will face here when Agüero and the other 3 are all fit. I would like Pelle to find his duo and keep playing that duo match after match if there is no injury.
In the last 6 games of 11-12 season we always started with Tevez-Agüero duo.

Still hope he can be a big player for us in the run in, hopefully he'll feel he owes the club something if/when he gets his chance

We can't continue with this guy I'm afraid. Got to replace him close season enough is enough now. Like a previous poster said he only has to shoot to pull his hamstring. Wish him well but we cannot carry him anymore.

So the fact that Aguero has missed how many games due to having an injury prone season means we have to sell him then does it not.
Give the lad a chance FF Sake.

Agreed. Reading some of the comments on here I'd assumed he was injured again. The lad is mustard. Way too early to cut our losses yet

Nothing would please me more to be proven wrong on Jovetic because he's a class act.
