Stevan Jovetic Official

For anyone thinking of getting Jovetić 35 on their new home or away shirt, a fellow blue has just told me to hang fire before nipping down to the shop for printing; we have a mutual friend in the offices at the stadium and he's told us that if/when Sinclair leaves then there's a possibility that Stevan will take the number 11 instead of 35. It'd obviously be a shame to wreck a £60 shirt before a ball's been kicked..my mate might be totally wrong, but nonetheless thought I'd give you all the heads up.
I doubt it, tbh.

Ended up getting Zabba on the home shirt, but asked about Jovetić for when the away is released. The bloke printing shirts said he wanted 9 or 11 but both numbers were occupied so they've been recommending that fans wait until the end of the window as printed shirts cannot be exchanged.

Well in his interview he said he wanted 8.

Here in the US if a player can't get the number they want they will try to buy it off the other player either with dinner or a gift of some sort like a watch. Others will get creative, Kobe Byrant changed his number to 24 because 2 + 4 = 6, the number of championship rings to = Michael Jordan. So even though Jovetic has used 35 before he could be using it currently because 3 + 5= 8.

Why did they give him a shirt with 35 on then?

Why not just a shirt with his name on?

He had 35 at partizan so he chose to take that one.
Yeh I know but what I am saying is why would he now change it. I find it hard to believe that the club are saying that depending on basically we sell Nasri or Sinclair he will change his number.

Whats the point of giving him a shirt with 35 on when there is a remote possibility he will change it.

Nothing major but a good friend of mine (Serbian) is close with Jovetic's agent so he took Stefan round Didsbury for dinner the other day when he landed. He told my mate he's really looking forward to the challenge and dying to win trophies with us.

I'm going to get 53 then...
