Seems we've still got some fans who aren't happy about the players we
can now attract. Who would make the doubters happy?

Even when there are tenuous links to what I would describe as Marquee signings there are always some not happy with those either see Saurez and Ibra threads :-)

Good prospect but no better than Nasri. Adds competition for places in midfield but doesn't really improve the first 11.

Brings a completely different dimension than Nasri. Definitely has the capacity to improve the first 11 depending how quickly he gets up to speed.

Goal scoring is one of the defects of last season we are looking to cure this season. So what Jovetic actually brings is more goal scoring ability compared to other attacking midfielders in the squad like Silva and Nasri. That of course does not mean he is a better player , well he is not but it is a team effort and he will improve the aforementioned aspect of the team.

That is a selling point: he is a striker or supporting striker but can easily and naturally play as an attacking midfielder and in that capacity, he is a very good signing.

is a bit better than our last Montenegran.

Jovetic is not effective from the left but maybe we can turn him into a Cavani, play him upfront with Aguero behind.

Cavani had similar stats to Jovetic before moving to Napoli before Mazzari transformed into a world class goal scorer, maybe MP can do the same.

I wasn't over-excited when we were first linked with him because I was thinking what we needed wasn't another creator, but a goal scorer. But he might just get the best out of Aguero. If he can weigh in with 10, and if he can form a partnership with Aguero we are in business.
