Hate collymore but sorry to say this..totally uninspired signing for me..hope collymore is wrong but i fear he may have a.point..jovetic negredo will not win us the champs league or get us anywhere near.again..re dzeko..sorry he is correct...

Bayern won it with Mandzukic, Pizarro and an injured Gomez.

Chelsea won it the year before with an old (still good) Drogba, a goal shy Torres, Kalou, Sturridge and an old Anelka. Between them they scored 11 goals.

Negredo, Dzeko and Aguero are all 20-25 goal a season strikers, proven in the top 3 leagues in Europe. Jovetic is a 1 in 2 creative forward. What's not to like?

I don't know what all the fuss is about us signing a star striker. We already have one, Aguero. Having 4 last year didn't work so why try it again? We're only going to play 1 striker so having 4 is a waste of resources. It seems that the big issue with Jovetic is he's not a 20 goal scorer. But he's not a CF. He playes deeper behind the striker more like where Arsenal use Carzola. More of a playmaker who gets you 14 goals. Not fair to compare him to Cavani etc.. and the like because that's not what he is.

speaking to the Italian press this evening, Jovetic hinted that Manchester City were his preferred option all along.

He said: "Because it is a very important team, who play the Premier League. I just want to win something. And there I'll find my great friend Nastasic."

i haven't a clue as to if he will be a good signing or not ,that's for the future,i do know we were linked with him last year ,at the time England played montenagro,so i watched him specially,the first half he was so so like his team ,the second half,he caused all sorts of problems with his direct play,lets hope
