But who leaves? As it stands with Negredo and Jovetic coming in. We have 23 players if we exclude Razak, Richards and Guidetti. The CL rules means that we can only name 21 players + 4 club trained. (Richards + Guidetti).

2 of the current squad need to leave to make space for Jovetic and Negredo. let's say they are Sinclair and Kolarov. Can't see the space for another defender unless someone like Garcia is sold? Unless we only name 2 goalkeepers of course. But the 2 South Americans would have to go on loan.

I forgot to ask about AK. Last I heard was also going nowhere unless Juve stop using the bargain bucket.

I get the sense we are getting ready to rumble and the new regime have plenty of respect for the squad already here.

Not sure how Dzeko will feel after resigning himself to leaving.

Personally, think he, AK and Nasty will get a huge boost with Jovetic signing.

The best part of that narrative is Barry and Lescitt.

Two players who were both roundly accused of joining the club merely for the riches on offer, who now, according to that post, are prepared to recommit themselves to the club on revised terms.

I wonder if Liverpool offered Barry another 20k a week over what on the table from City if he'd now join them. I strongly suspect not.
