I take it his name is pronounced Yovo tek ?

So his nickname of jo-jo is yo-yo. ???

Itch at the end mate.

And yes phonetically it's yo-yo.

imho....it was a big loss to miss on Isco but Jovetic is an excellent plan B and if anything he might have more goals in him than Isco! I really see him as an attacking midfield player so I still see Negredo as an option. The only issue I see is that City are seeming to be in talks over both players but keep hearing reports that no offer has been made. To me, if these are part of our plan and fill the need for the team...we should be trying to close these deals! Waiting and holding off only gives other teams the chance to jump in front. Not sure if we've got over confident in the past and were caught sleeping but we need to get this done and if it costs an extra couple of mil to push the deal, then I dont have an issue if thats what city have to do...The long term plan is using the young guys but for Pellegrini's playing style we have to improve in some areas to win now....get it done city!!!

Griezmann
Adem lljaic (His teammate at Fiorentina and it's not far fetched to think that he might actually be a better fit for us than Jovetic)

No, he isn't left footed. He isn't a number 9. He prefers to play behind the striker, although not necessarily directly as it could be said that he operates best coming in from the left.

He has better technique than Tevez, imo.

No he doesn't. Not at all even. Sinclair is a better flair flair than Joevtic.
Jovetic isn't a flair player.

Just like Silva isn't. Just like Messi isn't.

These players don't need flair. Jovetic gets past you like nothing without the need for fucking stepovers. I've said before, few current players are as good at cutting in the box like Jovetic. He revels in tight spaces.

And Sinclair? You are deluded.

Silva and Messi aren't joga bonito but are direct dribblers. Messi and Silva will always attempt to dummy a player left or right. When Jovetic gets a ball and doesn't see a teammate he turns his back on the defender or passes backward. That is not technical player to me, that's more of an Inzaghi.

Jovetic, Negredo, Pepe and a LB in. Dzeko, Kolarov, Barry and Lescott out and we're set. Guidetti, Lopes, Suarez are all capable of filling in imo.

____________Aguero

_Jovetic______Silva______Navas

_____Fernandinho__Y.Toure

Clichy__Kompany__Pepe__Zabaleta

_____________Hart

Bench: Pantillimon, Richards, Nastasic, Garcia, Milner, Nasri, Negredo

Nice variety of players and a strong bench.

I spent a good part of this night scouting Jovetic and Negredo. On Jovetic, it seems that we'll be paying 27 million pounds for Jovetic which is a lot, too much actually. He is not a central striker as of now. He's still 23 so he could get molded in one but for now he's too inaccurate to be one. Jovetic doesn't have any flair, he's no dribbler and he isn't the fastest player too. He's passing is alright but Silva is a better passer than him as well as Nasri. He really is a support striker or a 10 and that's my problem. We have Aguero in that spot and we won't be paying 27m to bench him. He can't lead the attacking line because he's not clinical and he can't play on the wings because he lacks flair, pace and pretty much always drifts in the middle. This signing is puzzling me especially if we get Negredo as well.

There are several things I like about Jovetic. He has great footballing IQ, he's first touch is great, his turn of pace, his vision etc. There are reasons why people in Italy call him the next Baggio, but he's too slow and lacks Baggio's flair.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that this signing puzzles me a lot. 27m for a support striker, a position we already have filled in is weird.

He is also great at striker. Has actually played up top a lot. Hold up play is excellent and can service the oncoming support with ease.

Players like him, like Messi, I just call forwards.
Yeah, his hold up play is good. Obviously, his first touch helps him in that respect.

He doesn't what? Have better than technique than Tévez? Or operate best from the left?

Either way, the last part of your post is ridiculous.

I was referring to the part that he has better technique than Tevez. He doesn't if by technique you are referring to dribbling.

A) Didn't he score 27 in 56 games over the past couple seasons.

2) Aguero can't play 60+ games.

III) He's a thoroughly coveted 23 year-old forward sought by various well-respected clubs, 6' tall, not slow, with a good attitude and strong work ethic, and he's handy on the ball. Any chance it's worth having him come aboard and see how the kid fits in?

You can sure as shit sign me up, hope the whole thing pans out.

Jovetic would be an excellent signing in my opinion. Young, versatile, technically gifted - it's staggering how easily some on here dismiss his talents.

It's an Isco hangover caused almost single handedly by that bloody under 21s tournament. He could actually turn out to be the better signing, no-one knows yet. What is stupid is to fawn over Isco in one breath then completely disregard this lad with the next.

And we've already got our Tevez replacement - We've had him for two seasons now!

THIS THIS THIS. I keep mentioning it, we already have Tevez's replacement. Aguero was not signed because we were planning on pairing Tevez and him. We signed Aguero because we thought Tevez was leaving. We shouldn't be in the market for a Tevez replacement.

This bloke caused Liverpool absolute nightmares when he was much younger.

In the 2nd half v England ( when he was mercifully released from trying to win long balls v 6ft strikers & dropped deeper) he absolutely crucified our midfield. Did so few notice that England were suddenly being bossed by Montenegro & wonder why ? If we played the same game tomorrow & it was Isco playing like Jovetic, people on here would be memorising every touch & suicidal about us not signing him.

That was a real game, v top Premier League players not U21s, he was much better in that game, than Isco was in Spain's last U21 game, yet at the time many on here just wrote him off after the 1st half & didn't even notice he'd changed position.

A superb imaginitive attacking mid who has already got a 1 in 3 scoring ratio & people are writing him off.

I really hope we sign this lad. He would be ideal.
