We need an out and out goalscorer, Jovetic won't be that

I agree...we can play Jovetic deeper behind the forward or out on the left and he'll create chance for our out and out strikers...this would be a different signing to getting a guy like Negredo

Defoe is one of the biggest myths in English football. Has a hot spell every now and then, then goes back to doing nothing. Negredo who we are apparently scraping the barrel for scored about the same amount of league goals last season as Defoe has in his last three seasons COMBINED.

There's not a player in the Malaga squad that I'd consider to be an improvement on what we have yet they, with Pellegrini, got much further than we did last season, and nearly knocked out Dortmund in the quarters!

Sometimes you have to just trust your clubs scouting and managerial team, and if Pellegrini think he'll be a "revelation" then that's good enough for me.
