Steve Wright and serious jockin on radio 2

Finally the most boring, lacking in ideas wanker is going.

Oh and Blackburn is as well. I noticed he was moaning about ageism no Tony it's because your shit.
No he isn't, he a brilliant broadcaster that knows his 60s music and his fan base, and a genuinely nice bloke

Thing with it is the BBC is gradually being drained of all its existing talent. They are sick of being prevented from airing their views and having their salaries out there in public and criticised and just having negative reporting about them overall.

LBC has picked up a lot of news talent - a lot of Radio goes to independent radio or into podcasts where they can say what the want and what they earn is between them and the Taxman - sports go off to other broadcasters and so on. I dread to think what is happening behind the scenes in production.

All those BBC license fee haters will say this is what they wanted - until they find that the BBC is shit with low quality presenters and awful production values - last couple of weeks on BBC radio I have heard news readers and presenters stuttering over and mis-pronouncing words and names - eg - Harry Gration called Harry Grayshon... I mean have some respect he did over 40 years at the BBC.

Surely the BBC must have SOME talent, but it never makes it to national radio.
Whenever a regular Radio 2 DJ is on holiday, they MUST be replaced by a "celeb", or they get their own show, by virtue of their "celeb status". The list is endless
Will Young.. a talent show winner
Mary Portas... someone who knows about retail
Michael Ball.... Cabaret singer. Alex Jones, who stands in for said cabaret singer.
Elaine Paige... Musical singer
The dreadful Angela Scanlon
Claudia Winkleman... daughter of a journalist, who's blagged her own show, to justify her salary
Zoe Ball, daughter of Johnny.

Commercial radio is the same
Frank Skinner
Jason Manford
Jenny Powell.

When you 2 choices on the radio at work, one being BBC radio Wales with a continuous playlist of 34 records, the vast majority being Bonnie Tyler or The Manic Street Preachers and the other being Steve Wright on Radio 2, we change at 2.00 to SW but on a fridays when he does that ridiculous 'serious jockin...' we switch off. As for his Sunday Love Songs.... It's so cheesy one can only assume the people who write in have all been caught with their pants down/playing away from home/or are a closet gay ( delete as appropriate )
The one redeeming feature on BBC radio Wales is Wynne Evans, the Go compare / opera singer guy, a total breath of fresh air, an absolute nutcase....the wife is on his call back list. Other than that it's the usual BBC dross
