If Milner had Ste's technical ability - he'd be some player too...:- )

Dead right. I said it at the time and I'll say it again...a shocking piece of business from City.

and by Villa?

Good luck to the lad but he would be better off wating till he starts performing again before he slags his previous managers off.You have to have something about you when a player like de souza was constantly looking for you to pass to.

My personal opinion is that Milner is criminally underrated on this forum. And I'm pretty sure we'll get our moneys worth from this boy in the long run.

I agree...well, not that Milner is criminally underrated, but that in the long run we'll get our money's worth from him. He'll come good - but he's had a poor start to his City career IMO. You count the genuinely good games he's had on one hand - which is always going to be disappointing because his first season will always been seen within the context of his transfer fee.

Mancini gave everyone a chance when he came in. If they'd proved their worth to the new Manager then they'd have played.

One outstanding season within a system that fitted him and too many poor seasons when he couldn't adjust to new ideas. Milner obviously lacks the flair that a top form Ireland has but we got the better of the deal because he's more professional, consistent and intelligent.

Newcastle will make him or break him, IMHO. He'll end up in the Championship with Sheffield United and retire at 31.

Need to get him in the middle. I'd have him there over Gareth Barry every day of the week.

Spot on mate....comfortably his best position. And to be fair to him, part of the reason I think he's struggled is because he's been asked to play in different positions due to injuries etc.
