Still Get a Lump in the Throat 10 Years On.

"Rovers fans"... you mean two of them!

And one thought City brought more!

Not exactly convincing, eh?
They were all at both games, unlike you or me. None of them thought City had more support inside the ground. One of them said that it's 'a tough call' if you included the City supporters OUTSIDE the ground. Either way, your original point about us not getting 'home attendances of 20,000' in 1978, 'let alone bringing that many away...', was complete bollocks.

no one cares

Fuck me what a day that was. Can't even put it into words how great it was. I thought I was surrounded by Blackburn fans when i got to my seat, but we took over the whole fucking ground. Awesome....

What I would've done to be there that day :( shame I was only 6! I remember watching it at home though and when the final whistle went, I was running up and down my street with my city flag I took to Wembley the previous year singing Blue Moon!

I would really love for us to re-make those celebrations when we win something SOON!

i was hung over watching the game in the old cock in denton, started badly then what an amazing day, got drunk again needless to say.
these are the days we will never forget, these are the days that makes every fan on here stronger and these are the days that have helped us become the club we are.
to me winning a match like that is just as important as winning the champ league final.

The Blackburn Rovers post and crossbar fest was hilarious ... in retrospect. and he Goat's equalizer stopped the twatty drum banger in the home end dead in his tracks.Bang, bang, bang ,bang, bang bang ... oh shit, City have scored.

better support than we have now.

on what basis do you say that?

hear the noise? don't hear that at COMS at all basically, our away support hardly ever sells out and neither do our home games.

If we went to Blackburn next season away we wouldn't anywhere near that number, and we're a massively bigger club now.

That was a huge game so there was always going to be a larger number of blues there than there would of been normaly, even more so considering it was the first chance we had to return to the Prem since 1996.

Even so this season we have sold out most of our home and away games, and have an average of 46,000, the 3rd higest in the league. We took 6,500 to Ewood this season, taking the whole away stand in the process.

To say our support is not as good these days is ridiculous.
