Still not mathematically safe

Your right in a way, but on a day like today where all MCFC came together, MH, Players, Coaching and training staff, tactics and a superb away win means that things may be more positive.
Of course there are still problems but 3 wins on the run and seemingly getting better, our remaining games will determine if its just a flash in the pan. I am not getting carried away but delighted at recent form.

44 points with 4 games left to play. Two of the bottom three have a game in hand on us and it's not beyond the realms of possibilty that we could still slip into serious trouble.

The Premieship is strange this season with very few points seperating all the teams below 7th place.

Despite today's result, I have a bad feeling about this season and I still think we are not completely out of the relegation battle.

The only good thing about us going down would be that we get a new manager.

:-I
We can also finish 5th.:)

It's that kind of (balti) pie in the sky thinking that has seen us knocked out of TWO cup competitions (nearly three if you count midgyland) by lower league oppostion!
I have high expectations.

Only 2 teams have ever been relegated from a 38 games Premier League with 41 points or more.

Coventry on 41 points in season 1996/97 &
West Ham on 42 points in season 2002/03

And Coventry's was on goal difference.

West Ham's was due to Sunderland only getting 19 points and WBA getting 26 points. The points gained by the two bottom sides were disproportionate in relation to the rest of the league. There are only so many points to go around. I'm pretty confident that even if we hadn't won today and not picked up any points for the rest of this season we would have been safe.

Both the Smoggies and the Loony Toons would have to win all their remaining 5 games to catch us.

They play each other so can't both win all there games. Still, only one of them needs to catch us.

And if Hull are facing Man U on the final day....!

Nah. F**K it. We're safe.

Well, assuming that we lose our last 4 games! Both the Smoggies and the Loony Toons would have to win all their remaining 5 games to catch us. The Baggies can't catch us.
Aint gonna happen. Even if Boro and Newcastle win all there last games, Blackburn, Hull, Stoke etc.. Aint gonna win all theres. Don't worry, were safe :)

Behave. Have you seen Boro & Newcastle play recently?

Also, every team below us would have to not drop any points along with Newcastle & Boro winning all games.

It just isn't going to happen, but well done for your commitment.

Now has anyone seen scorer?

its probably not mathematically possible anyway! there's a lot of teams who have to pass us and some probably play each other anyway!
