Still Top at the end of March

does anyone know if scott parker is banned for the match against the netherlands? thx.

I assumed he was saving himself for Sunday's match.

So you might be right.

Who cares about Scotty Captain Sideways Parker? With home advantage, this Spurs team should be able to cope with the rags with or without Mr Overrated of White Fart Lane.

If I were a rag, it wouldn't so much be the results that would be worrying as much as some of the performances. They went through an impressive little phase around Xmas and just after where they seemed to be playing quite well, leastways every time I saw them, but they were shit against Norwich, shit against Ajax, shit against Liverpool in the league game recently (for all their triumphalism) and I expect they'll be shit against Spurs. They can't carry on being shit because sooner rather than later it will start to impact on the results. I don't think they're all that much better than Chelsea. They're just luckier, is all.

The Us V Bolton and Rags v Spurs games will have huge impact on how things progress. I expect us to take 3 points. If Utd drop points we would be either 4 or 5 clear.

A gap that wide at this stage of the season would be priceless. It'd knock Utd's confidence and get Spurs nearer to them and therefore heap pressure on for 2nd spot.

Lets not forget Spurs are a bloody good team and definitely do have enough to take points off Utd esp at WHL. Offensively they are powerful and Utd's defence wont relish playing them. I feel it depends on the mindset Spurs go out there with. Do they want to roll over and end up battling with Arsenal and Chelsea for 3rd/4th (and potentially end up 5th and lose all their best players in the summer) or do they want to get back in the hunt for 1st/2nd and really establish themselves as a genuine top team?

I feel if we were to open such a gap this weekend, we wouldn't let that gap slip (as per earlier in the season) and would go on to be champions. I feel this weekend is that pivotal.

Should Utd also take 3 points we then face a pretty challenging few games whilst they face all the shittest teams in the league which could see them claw back and even go ahead of us. Squeaky bum time indeed.

Lets all hope the first scenario is what actually happens.

I have been banking on Utd dropping points at Spurs but was dismayed to read that they haven't lost there for over 10 years. Still, even a draw would be good. Utd are winning games but seem to be struggling. Those games against the bottom teams will be tricky for them away from home as those teams like Wolves will be scrapping for their lives, I can see them dropping some points as their form has been scrappy....at least that's what I keep telling myself anyway. Jesus, this championship title lark is bloody tense.
