I’ve never understood stockports hatred of burnley? Being from burnley most of my mates are burnley fans obv & they tell me about the pure hatred? i never looked upon them as rivals? Tho i remember my dad (rip) going to wembley to see burnley beat them maybe it stems from that?, tho i also remember early 1990’s burnley causing a riot on a fri night game

Local rivalry, spurred on by Burnley football hooligans going over the top one game.
