pissed up or daft kids and the lad could have banged his head on the pavement and died. So not worth it.
He was on his toes well and using thigh kicks which if done right can stop somebody in their tracks dead. Mind you anybody would look an expert facing Mr bare chest who was all noise, aggression and not much else. People can mock his technique but it's not a gym or ring environment but a real violent confrontation on the cobbles with a lot of space and all the dangers that confrontation brings.
The problem is with drink, drugs and an aggressive atmosphere all common sense goes out of the window. Interview these people the next day and many are totally different people, but sadly by then the damage has been done.
As I got older and wiser I found that humour and self depreciation could work well if i had a chance to speak. A bit of, " Fight you mate, do I look mad?? Look at you, you're a monster do I look suicidal?" That with a smile could work. Also if it was looking like a walk outside was inevitable, "Look mate we can go outside, kick fuck out of one another, shake hands, come back in and have a drink......or we can miss out the painful bit, shake hands and have the drink now." It's all about ego and saving face with a lot of people so negate that and you prick their aggression bubble. It can be hard to do as you have to appear to be backing down a little bit it's better than being badly injured, dead or in prison yourself for manslaughter.
His kicks are rubbish. It’s like he’s trying to kick him without hurting him.
A Muay Thai stance is with the front foot on the toes, with the weight on the bag leg and your hands up! Where as he is bouncing around because he’s had an adrenaline dump and he doesn’t know how to control it.
Very true mate, and it's much harder to walk away from a fight you know you're going to win than one you know you may lose, but best saving for when it really matters. The thing today chappo is they will stab you, attack your house, parents, etc should they lose face
It’s all recorded and put on Facebook just not worth it. It’s difficult at times to walk away but the older you get the wiser you become if you can walk away or diffuse the situation you should
I won’t like it for obvious reasons but they need lynching palIt's a policy I've used for years and really I'm too old and out of condition to be stupid enough to get involved now. It can be hard to walk away sometimes but it's the best policy. There are times the old red mist descends though, knobheads still haunt places.
You just reminded me of a fairly recent story. A tree surgeon was buying a sandwich or something before going to work. Some moron was verbally abusing an old woman and he stepped in to fuck him off. He drove off to his work where he met a couple of co workers and started work Unbeknown to him the moron had clocked his vans logo, rounded up a few mate's armed with baseball bats and machetes and drove around until they found him. They then launched a vicious attack and a young lad working with him lost a hand. All for him telling the moron to leave an old woman alone. Absolute scum.
You want some? There’s only seven families in Stockport. Fact.
And Phil Foden is the only man from Stockport with a full time job.
The Tame or the Goyt? It's not the Mersey until they merge.I lived most of my life in Stockport. Although the nicer bit north of the river.
