Stoke Away

The Police will be waiting for us without a doubt.

I heard that they put you on double decker buses to the ground.

Right chaps Stoke fan in peace.

To all the people travel to the Brit next weekend you do not need to worry about trouble.

There have been no major incididents to note in and around the ground. The police normally have a good presence and it's well organised.

Parking is the main problem, if you are going to park near to the ground you need to aim to get there a good one and half before kick off. There is a small car park for away fans right behind your stand, other than that it's trying places like the poerleague 5 a side or local cricket club, Holiday Inn hotel, Harvester pub, or retail units - most charge £5. If you do park close to the ground be prepared for 45 mins delay after the match as it takes an age for the traffic to calm down.

A good alternative is to park on Cambell Road near to Michelin factory and walk to the ground (10 -15 mins)

Powerleague and Harvester pub accept away fans as does the local cricket club. You can get beers inside the ground as well.

Any other info, just ask

I imagine the police will be there in force, on the train and at the statiom. When we went to Blackburn away on the train we were met by about 20 cops at Darwen station and that was a game were there was never likely to be much trouble so I imagine that the police will have this one well covered.

I rushed to get my ticket 2 weeks ago as someone said on here its nearly sold out. What a load of bo****s, according to OS the allocation is not sold out which is very unusual for Stoke. Our away fans have gone down in numbers big time over the last few years.

We sold the original 2,800 allocation and Stoke have given us more tickets!

Someone rang the other week and said they have sold out and would ring back if they had been given more tickets. Then they rang back an hour later.

Would only be an extra 200-300 tickets.

everyone still on the the 10.07 train from piccadilly? gets us to stoke at 10.43 everyone should meet in wetherspoons in piccadilly gardens at 9 for a few pints!

Regarding pubs around the station and ground etc..

Im a blue living in Stoke unfortunately!

The Roebuck is now shut as the Uni have bought it which was nearest the station. There is also the Fawn and The Terrace which are both shitholes and should be avoided!

If you turn right out of the station and turn left at the lights you will see Staffordshire University which opens the Student union just for away fans on matchdays. Cheap as and the beer is pretty good too!

You can leave cars there as well but it's about 3 miles to the ground but very easy to get taxis from.

Dont worry about trouble, there is a massive police presence for anyone round here so I expect it will be doubled for us!

Hope this helps, maybe see you at the ground if there are any tickets left on Wednesday!
