Stoke City vs. Manchester City | Match Day Thread | 16th

Listen, Please.
I saw enough superb football to agree that the display was poor, BUT:

We went to the worst pitch a skilled side may play in, fact.
We were opposed by a team which is non football and featured to destroy the play, fact
We went there missing our best fwdrs, fact.
For the first time we saw some sense in the ball circulation, in spite of the pitch, and we controlled finely the play for quite long time, fact.
Viera is a massive injection of winning attitude and all the fella at midfield: particularly barry takes great confort to play alongside him, it is the first time I saw some clues of how garreth barry play at England international when surrounded by senior partners.
Who denies the great impact of a Viera, still far from his best, is not blind: WANTS TO BE BLIND.
Sadly, one of our senior players, Given, took a minute off, just when we wwere close to get the victory. One week ago we would have lost this game.

At the end of the day. one good point, 4th alone, and a great confidence that, if they all shall put the same fighting attitude next sunday, with carlos and bellers (hopefully) back, WE SHALL OWN LIVERPOOL, imho.

C'MON CITY...:-)

just, please Roberto, send that Petrov moron to a mine, asap.

that performance was totally shite and anyone who can find anything positive other than we didnt lose needs to send me the prescription they take.

He isnt nicknamed the lucky one or whatever it is for no reason. we'll be lucky to finish 8th at this rate

Why cant people see why that stoke 2nd was disallowed? Givens jump was impeded. I see them penalised all the time.

We new it was gonna be a shit fest. Ugly crap. Stoke are fuckin thug clogging twats.

I am happy to take the point. Arse couldnt.

Petrov should be dropped. Disgrace. Shitbag!

Lescott I thought did very well apart from the silly push right at the end.

We will see a better performance against the dippers I am sure. Cant wait now. Roll on Sunday.

oh, and yes, I 100% blame Given for their goal

Because They pray everyday for City's defeat, since Mancini was appointed!
They are more intersted in the ruin of the Club They have supported a lifelong, far more than in a good health of their own children!
They are raged by hate. They are totally committed to turn reality upsidedown: Viera a passanger?????!!!!!!!!
I'd like to be in a pub of rags, just to listen if I could hear such hoaxing comments.
I am very sick and annoyed about that, on the other hand I can't wait for the bright day sunday shall come (if tevez and bellamy in).

Given bailed out by a really stupid foul by Shawcross at the death. Absolutely no need for him to hold down Given. There's no way Shay would've gotten up high enough in time to get to that ball.

Given's form has slumped to a new low tonight. That Stoke opener was basically rolled in from 25 yards out. I'm not even exaggerating when I say I could've kept that out with no goalkeeping experience.

Vieira either is the rustiest footballer I've ever seen, or he's simply past it. I'm 90 percent certain it's the latter.

Starting three defensive mids is simply not working for City. They need Johnson/Petrov (with Johnson definitely being preferred right now with Petrov looking as poor as he is lately) and SWP/Ireland out there, or the attack stagnates. And the worst part is that City couldn't even control the midfield with those three holding mids out there. The first half-hour of the match was absolutely pathetic.

Meanwhile, I'm having flashbacks to last season's disastrous away form.

am i the only person who saw that the swamp league game Given pulled his arms away like the header was goin wide then suddenly realised he fucked up?

ok one or 2 mistakes is forgiveable but that was a massive misjudgement for a world class keeper

dont know what the ref saw to disallow their goal. why cant swp shoot instead of crossing? all poor except for lescott.

So sad for You that City didn't lose....

aw... cant see through those blinkered eyes.......paranoid...ive now proved im the biggest blue. city 'fan' who cant be impartial....carry on with your in depth analysis. city were crap. there you go. the ref helped us a lot.

Slow beginning but after that we looked comfortable and they never threatened.

Good point against a side that is hard to crack at home.

I am very confident we will face up against Chelsea in the next round of the Cup however we will be hard pressed to go any further.
