Slow beginning but after that we looked comfortable and they never threatened.

Good point against a side that is hard to crack at home.

I am very confident we will face up against Chelsea in the next round of the Cup however we will be hard pressed to go any further.
Really? On tonights performance. With Mancini, you have a manager who should be sacked.

Listen, Please.
I saw enough superb football to agree that the display was poor, BUT:

We went to the worst pitch a skilled side may play in, fact.
We were opposed by a team which is non football and featured to destroy the play, fact
We went there missing our best fwdrs, fact.
For the first time we saw some sense in the ball circulation, in spite of the pitch, and we controlled finely the play for quite long time, fact.
Viera is a massive injection of winning attitude and all the fella at midfield: particularly barry takes great confort to play alongside him, it is the first time I saw some clues of how garreth barry play at England international when surrounded by senior partners.
Who denies the great impact of a Viera, still far from his best, is not blind: WANTS TO BE BLIND.
Sadly, one of our senior players, Given, took a minute off, just when we wwere close to get the victory. One week ago we would have lost this game.

At the end of the day. one good point, 4th alone, and a great confidence that, if they all shall put the same fighting attitude next sunday, with carlos and bellers (hopefully) back, WE SHALL OWN LIVERPOOL, imho.

C'MON CITY...:-)

just, please Roberto, send that Petrov moron to a mine, asap.
You sir, are a silly deluded fool. He is a liability for your team.

And, by God's grace, on what technical basis, You wise gentleman, arise your assessment?
Providing that, Viera is actually the only City midfielder that run around to dictate a pass, that give depth to the play (logically I mean, not long throwing) and by doing that encourages his fella to give birth to a proper circulation of the ball, the only mean of dominating a game of modern football?
Yes, he is still 30-40 % fit, coming from a season on the Inter's bench and a month of enjury, with a couple of game so far, he surely won't be any more the dominant stallion of his Arsenal/Juventus years, but can You fairly and technically see any local hero doing the same without him on the pitch?
I save any abuse for your well featured pocket and I stand silly fool.

will take the point gladly. esp after the 73rd minute! thought we showed alot of heart to fight back, we didnt get too many quality chances but did bombard them towards the end.on such a small pitch it seems hard to exploit the extra man advantage anyway. i believe only chelski, rags, arsenal and brum have won there this year?
attention turns to sunday- we have to get on the front foot right away!

Disturbing game I must say. Yet.. I am satisfied?? I felt that feeling of being crowded just watching them try to play on that pitch.. and I was alone watching the game! They really started to come through at the end of the game, they finally got it together and started to dominate. If they had been able to get to that state earlier on int he game then we would have creamed them. But alas, we just couldn't get going on that tiny bastard of a pitch.

How can the Stoke fans be so loud watching the absolute garbage that is Stoke City football? Rory Delap throws the ball in and the crowd goes wild??? Wtf is that?! I could never watch that on a weekly basis, let alone pay to see it in person.

Stevie Stokie, or whatever the hell your name is. Please enlighten us all here? How can you watch that garbage week in and week out? I seriously wanna know how you do it.

I read something on these forums a day or two ago, someone said that they would rather watch City play enjoyable football and lose then watch City play boring football and win. Take that for what you will, but to me that is a true fan of football, and after seeing once again what Stoke City has to offer.. I have to say that I agree with that poster.

And just to eek out one tiny criticism.. if you're down and trying to win/tie up a game that is nearing the end, why do you replace the right back with Pablo Zabaleta??? I was shocked when I saw that, I could see him taking out Richards and replacing him with Ireland or someone to that effect and go for it, but I didn't understand that Zabaleta thing.

Either way, we battled back and salvaged a point. A good thing for a team that has lost its form as of late.

Zabaleta came on in order to give SWP more freedom. Five minutes later SWP wins a corner and hey presto, we score. Good substitution in my book.

Mancio4ever, don't worry about StokieSteve, he's only a troll looking to wind you up. Veira is gold for us. I'm in your camp and can see the same added value he's making. Ireland tries, but he if had something to contribute it should be giving his youth to Viera so we can have the champ at his best!!!
