Just watched the FA Cup highlights on ITV.

During the Stoke-Bolton game, Drury said, when talking about Stoke, something like, "There's something about these one-club towns..."

Port Vale anyone?

I thought Port Vale was a bit further out from Stoke, not part of Stoke itself?

Semantics my arse. Port Vale is a lot closer to the centre of Stoke than the Britannia and about the same distance as Stokes old ground.
Drury was talking out of his arse.

stoke's just that place that the train stops off at sometimes where people with no aspirations get off and those who dream of living in a developing, proper town get on.
