Stoke post match thread

The rest of the league are pissing their sides at us shooting ourselves in the foot. We give hope out like a fucking vicar..

If one player is missing then you don't rest another for me. That was a mistake. Not bringing Silva on at HT was another mistake.

Clearly, once again, the CL is taking priority when we should be focusing on the here and now.

Did Stoke play so defensively last week when they were tonked 4-0 at Spurs? Fuck you Hughes......

Come on, do you expect Stoke to arrive at the Etihad and play us at football. Blame our 200m plus team or manager not the likes of Ryan Shawcross and Glenn Whelan for playing to their strengths.

We need a good few players in the summer! The back up isn't good enough and a couple of the first team are not either

Oh I know we need a few players just pointing out that along with defenders we probably still need to sign a couple of creative players. Devoid of options on the bench and pretty uninspiring seeing Delph, Nolito etc... Pretty frustrating especially when we use to have Nasri and Dzeko to call on.

Leagues gone now. Get top 4 sealed and focus on the 2 cups.

Stoke didn't even try to win the game, just parked the bus for 90 minutes as expected. Game didn't start till Silva game on, as suspected we missed him and Sterling massively.

Need to sign another creative player in the summer (Isco?) for when we rotate and rest players.

they were never gonna come out and attack us though and probably get beat. fair play to them their game plan worked well

Stoke got what they wanted and didn't really try for more.

We were frankly poor and turgid until the final ten minutes - why wait that long to get going?

And what is wrong with Kev his passing was awful.

How many of the top six who may have played stoke tonight would have rotated?

Hypothetical bullshit, we have a fixture congestion that requires rotation.

Silva, KDB or Sane put away their chances and you don't whine about rotating tonight. Meanwhile, Pep plays a full strength squad and rotates at Boro and we slip up in the FA Cup and you'll be on here posting the same tired dross.

You're one of the "we've gone backwards under Pep" brigade from day one and have had to bide your fucking time during the good performances lately waiting for a 0-0 draw to get back at it. Well done!

Tonight you can only blame the manager. He made the ridiculous call to start Navas, he dropped Silva after his best performance of the season and refused to change it out of pure stubborness.

I agree. But what's done is done now. I expect to see a strong side Saturday. I will be disappointed if we are throwing everything at CL again at the cost of everything else.

It's completely unfounded and we weren't catching Chelsea anyway?

We've been doing really well lately and one goal-less draw is apparently evidence City don't care about the league title. Beggars belief
. We could have put a bit of pressure on them, instead we have put more pressure on ourselves. We have pissed away a lot of points at home this season. Not good enough

We were lethargic
All credit to Stoke. Their stifling of the game worked

Why didn't Sane get a foot on that last KDB cross?

It's a week away. We've got a friendly on sat so rest them then.dress it up all you like the genius fucked up. And not for the first time.
Players get rested and rotate, last season we were dead at the end of the season. The only current top six club that has rotated little has been Chelsea because they ain't in Europe. Even Liverpool have had to rotate. Silva cannot play every match and Sterling looked a little jaded last time out . Pep has to rest players.
