Stoke post match

What was it the booing of Sterling? Is it because of his England performances? Can't think it could be anything else.

Who knows why idiots like that do that? This time last year I asked a plastic rag why he was booing Sterling as he played against WBA on a pub TV.. He replied 'because it is Raheem Sterling, innit?', with an element of surprise that I did not know.

I replied with a single word beginning with C.

In my opinion clowns of all clubs with no connection are just carrying on in a sheeplike way the behaviour that was started by the overseas fans of Liverpool during pre season and encouraged by certain members of the media then and since - for example that big bloated bitter bastard Micky Quinn who was gleefully reading out the results of a poll a week or so ago about booing players and which Sterling 'won'.

They are not. You just cannot face your opponent, make no attempt to defend the ball (as your not looking) and push the attacking player who is trying to make a run in anticipation of where they expect the ball to arrive.

There y go, few seconds into the Arse game, blatant pen, ignored.

Ref can give what he feels like now & decide the result.

And guess who won't come out on top, when it 'evens itself out'.

Well it is Clattenburg. He has his own set of rules/laws. Boils down to how much preening he can get out of it ;-)

Dumbfounded standing at the game, and some fans start singing don't sell Joe Hart, and the yaya song, for fuck sake start moving on,we have probably the best coach in the world and we disrespect pep, these players like all the rest are very well paid,no sentiment in football, unless you're called colin schindler.

Move on and sing for the players on the pitch, and of course our new song for Josep.

Totally agree and it will be the same with Yellow cards for arguing with the ref, they have so many tools at their disposal to influence the game now. Just think... we might even see a penalty for not looking at the ball and a red card(second yellow) for arguing about it against City in the same game, if we're too hard to stop.

No problem with saying anything to someone's face whatsoever. What is this with 'my body being thick'?
You actually said "I was that dense the wind would go round me" do not need that kind of nonsense from a coward, our family have been supporters since the early sixties, days of Derek Kevan and Wagstaff, so don't need modern day glory hunters insulting me. By the way I live in bogside in Derry if you fancy threatening me here ( home of Johnny Crossan but you will not have heard of him) why not take the flight to Derry.

Not the cleanest performance after half time, and the eventual scoreline probably flattered us for that reason, but we were excellent in the first half and made Stoke very uncomfortable on their own ground. I would have taken a draw if you'd offered it to me before kick-off so to win by such a margin despite not playing our best football is simply a superb result.

Top marks go to Otamendi, who was commanding in the air; Fernandinho, who ran the game in the first half; Kolarov, who looks like a competent left-back again, and especially Stones, who has slotted in wonderfully and looks like a fantastic piece of business.

A better team might have made us pay in the first few minutes of the second half when we we took a long while to calm down after Stoke's penalty, but it was a difficult set of conditions to play in and we've come away with a valuable result even at this stage in the season. It's coming together slowly.
