Stoke post match

What was it the booing of Sterling? Is it because of his England performances? Can't think it could be anything else.

Who knows why idiots like that do that? This time last year I asked a plastic rag why he was booing Sterling as he played against WBA on a pub TV.. He replied 'because it is Raheem Sterling, innit?', with an element of surprise that I did not know.

I replied with a single word beginning with C.

In my opinion clowns of all clubs with no connection are just carrying on in a sheeplike way the behaviour that was started by the overseas fans of Liverpool during pre season and encouraged by certain members of the media then and since - for example that big bloated bitter bastard Micky Quinn who was gleefully reading out the results of a poll a week or so ago about booing players and which Sterling 'won'.

They are not. You just cannot face your opponent, make no attempt to defend the ball (as your not looking) and push the attacking player who is trying to make a run in anticipation of where they expect the ball to arrive.

There y go, few seconds into the Arse game, blatant pen, ignored.

Ref can give what he feels like now & decide the result.

And guess who won't come out on top, when it 'evens itself out'.

Well it is Clattenburg. He has his own set of rules/laws. Boils down to how much preening he can get out of it ;-)

Dumbfounded standing at the game, and some fans start singing don't sell Joe Hart, and the yaya song, for fuck sake start moving on,we have probably the best coach in the world and we disrespect pep, these players like all the rest are very well paid,no sentiment in football, unless you're called colin schindler.

Move on and sing for the players on the pitch, and of course our new song for Josep.

Totally agree and it will be the same with Yellow cards for arguing with the ref, they have so many tools at their disposal to influence the game now. Just think... we might even see a penalty for not looking at the ball and a red card(second yellow) for arguing about it against City in the same game, if we're too hard to stop.

No problem with saying anything to someone's face whatsoever. What is this with 'my body being thick'?
You actually said "I was that dense the wind would go round me" do not need that kind of nonsense from a coward, our family have been supporters since the early sixties, days of Derek Kevan and Wagstaff, so don't need modern day glory hunters insulting me. By the way I live in bogside in Derry if you fancy threatening me here ( home of Johnny Crossan but you will not have heard of him) why not take the flight to Derry.

Not the cleanest performance after half time, and the eventual scoreline probably flattered us for that reason, but we were excellent in the first half and made Stoke very uncomfortable on their own ground. I would have taken a draw if you'd offered it to me before kick-off so to win by such a margin despite not playing our best football is simply a superb result.

Top marks go to Otamendi, who was commanding in the air; Fernandinho, who ran the game in the first half; Kolarov, who looks like a competent left-back again, and especially Stones, who has slotted in wonderfully and looks like a fantastic piece of business.

A better team might have made us pay in the first few minutes of the second half when we we took a long while to calm down after Stoke's penalty, but it was a difficult set of conditions to play in and we've come away with a valuable result even at this stage in the season. It's coming together slowly.

He said 'fairly' though. Is he a rag/****/biased sky reporter or simply a biased rag, sky reporting ****?

Maybe Ninja Monkey is Niall Quinn?

I wish i had disco pants like him. Sadly not. I'm more Paul Walsh than Quinn.

The pundits reckon the score line flattered us. Quinn and Souness said we gave the ball away cheaply. However, 4-1 at Stoke while not being at your best ain't bad. Also, and the media aren't making enough of this, we have Sane and Gundogan to come in, and probably a new keeper........and possibly Kompany!

Just got back so obviously seen nothing in terms of replays or analysis, i'm guessing people were giving them shit for that opinion? It's something i'd definitely agree with, we was very wasteful in possession, particularly in the second half before we sealed the win. Maybe we were flattered in the sense that we wasn't great but i don't think you can say any of our goals were undeserved. It's a compliment to how good we can/will be when we click to say we didn't play well and come away with a 4-1 win. Wasn't as if Stoke were diabolical like Steaua either.

Is this the first time a woman has offered somebody out on Bluemoon?

If there is indeed a new directive? So far the evidence would point to only the Sky presenter and Mike Dean being informed.
Regardless of the rights and wrongs of this particular argument, I'm happy the ref did what he did. It's about time this shit was stamped out. Physically holding down attacking players and grappling at every set piece just can't be allowed to continue as a part of the game. That **** Skrtl used to infuriate me. He'd be giving half a dozen penalties away each match under this new directive if it exists.

There was a shocker of a tackle in the first half that definitely warranted a card.

It was a cuntish cowards challenge and should warrant a retrospective lengthy ban.

He went in with excessive force in a situation where he didn't need to. Silva was static and the fact that Bardsley's tackling leg was over the ball shows how dangerous is was.

I dread to think what would have happened to Dave if he made contact.

Lots of booing for Sterling from the home crowd.
Strange... they usually reserve that for those with the audacity to get injured by their players.
Horrid crowd at Stoke. Thank god - nay, thank Pep - we shut them up.

"Stoke fans" only attend Stoke games now they're a top flight club. When they weren't attending Stoke games for the twenty five years they weren't in the top league (averaged about 14000 for half a century) they were obviously Liverpool fans so must feel the need to boo Sterling.

Their accent does have a hint of Scouse to it.

Sad Scouse sympathising cunts.

Why was Sterling booed? Because he left mighty Liverpool and traded "history" for Champions League, Trophies, Titles and better team mates? If so, why do Stoke fans care?

I just don't get this booing of Sterling at all. Would like to go on to one of the Stoke forums and ask for an explanation as I don't get it.
