MDM is a no option due to Mangala being banned and VK not being fit
Yaya has the strength and power (but not in a midfield 2) and always has a good game against Stoke. His aerial presence defending set pieces will be needed. That is unless we play Bony (no thanks).
Navas` pace will be important both going forward and tracking back. He offers more to the "team" than most fans believe. And I`d put him on the right, my error.

From set pieces defensively he does, offensively obviously not as we don`t play that game.
We shouldn`t be fooled by the new Stoke style with their new flair players. They reverted to type against Chelsea and bullied them with their old style football, and set piece balls into the box. My worry would be if Willy played and his weakness with high balls into the box.
 
Would love to see Silva appointed captain in Vinny and Zabba's absence - he has the full respect of the whole organisation.
 
What the injury situation? Fernando , hart, zabba, navas?

Just read the team again, slowly. Every player bar Yaya is just a surname hence it looks like 443 but it is in fact 442.

Doesn't Yaya have a knock?
In some ways if he's unavailable it might help us in this one, with the line-up featuring Yaya, Silva and De Bruyne, it looks a little narrow as both Silva and De Bruyne drift inside. I'd rather have Sterling or Navas play instead of Yaya and leave Silva more central?
 
As good as zabba is at recovering from injuries or at least up until now he won't be available this Saturday based on what we saw in tunnel cam earlier this week.

I bet Bacary didn't think he would play as many games as he has so far come the start of the season.

Hopefully Fernando and Navas will be available for Stoke as well.
