Stop abusing the Hughes out brigade - we have a valid point

We have four home games and 3 away so we are more likey to move up.

We were in the bottom 3 in December, Hughes has turned it around and City are improving.

Made me laugh anyway

'Us'? I doubt it some how. He had to turn around a team that ships 8 goals in.

A lot of people on here seem to think chuck some money at the problem and all the problems go away. Truth be told City were a mess after January last season and you don't turn that mentality overnight.

He's also turned the away form around too we are now worse away than we were last term. That mess we were in got us 55 points, a 9th place finish and UEFA cup place via the fair play back door. Not bad for a team in turmoil I'm sure you will agree

City got the majority of the points in 2007, Sven was declining , Hughes getting better, and they will both finish lowe top half. City have played 15 games in the Uefa cup, which would ake Hughes' league finish a greater achievement.

can anyone disagree that it's better to start poorly, but finish well, than to start well, then flop?

one suggests things are basically going in the right direction, the other suggests you've got a lot to sort out for next year..... doesnt it?

In the long run it doesn't mean anything but it's certainly something I'd prefer.

But surely if you are in a race, it doesn't really matter whether you start quickly and slow or start slowly and finish with a bang, if you finish ahead of everyone else you've won the race.
