Stop Crying Your Heart Out Rodri Banner

Not only was we poking a bear it was cringey as fuck and very Arsenaly. We set ourselves up and we're being laughed at. These are facts.
The writing with it was cringey as fuck.
I don’t know why we need to reference oasis songs so much.
Especially a bad oasis song.
Should have just been Rodri Balon d’or 2024.

But personally, no issue with the banner itself. It was funny. And I think they deserved something after how they disrespected Rodri, a player they’ve been linked to.

we would be laughed at anyway.
We threw away the game and if the rags, dips or Arse did the same we would laugh at them.

We won 4 titles on the bounce, who cares if they’re laughing at us. They would swap there last 10 years for ours in an instance.

He won the European Player of the Year due to being the stand out player for Spain in the Euros in reality. Those performances really damaged our season and he never recovered, and the celebration before the Spurs match was enough.

It was all about 5'8" Big Steve raising his social media profile and ££££.

Thought the banner was funny and isn't that what life's about? Not taking it too serious? Vinicius 'used it for motivation' is stupid as well because he got put in Akanji's pocket until he got injured
Exactly. Far more important things going on in the world to get wound up about than a pisstake banner at a football match.

Yeah facts. We lost, Vini Jr said it inspired him and we're being laughed at on Twitter. It was hardly a succes.
No, what you said isn't facts. It's an opinion. Oh, and Vinicius was always going to say that whether it's true or not. It could just as easily be counter-argued that his wastefulness in the first half was because the banner got to him rather than inspired him. In any case, his name wasn't even on the banner - it was a dig at the whole club spitting their collective dummies out.

As for people laughing on Twitter, fuck the lot of them. Most of them won't even know what the inside of a football ground looks like so are hardly qualified to act as judge and jury when it comes to football fan banter.

Yet we all hated and were arsed about the 34 year ticker banner. It's amazing how a few words on large piece of cloth can effect fans.
The swamp banner was gratuitous. The rags were rubbing our noses in it because they could. They weren’t responding to a slight, they were being cunts.

The banner last night was a specific response to a particular snub.

They deserved it, frankly.

We need to take a look at ourselves internally this season, heads down and focus on climbing the table. Support the team, absofuckinglutely but we are nowhere near the level to be pointing jibes to our rivals that’s just d!ckhead behaviour.
Win or lose, we are on the banners!! :0)

I don’t see how this banner is not anyway supporting the team?? IMO :0)

The fact that many people are anxious to fit in with the Red shite Twitter crowd speaks more to their insecurities than anything else. Who the fuck cares if a "Liverpool fan" on Twitter is making fun of it? More people are talking about the banner than anything their shit clubs have done, and it made its point.

It inspired him?

Must've missed that.
He got MOTM bud

I understand it was a dig at RM for their behaviour but we should just be concentrating on us at the moment. You can believe what you want, I believe we poked a bear and the facts are he got MOTM, we got beat and people are laughing at us. That's not opinion.

FFS people. Do you really, honestly think that just because this little arrogant prick said the banner made him play better that it's true???

Of course he's going to have a pop back at the banner and claim it made him play better, because he's still bitter about not getting the award!

If he'd played absolutely shite (rather than average (which I incidentally thought he was, MOTM my arse!), do you think he'd come out and say "yes, the banner made me try harder but I was still shit"? He wouldn't have said a word about it.

It's no suprise that a cock end like him would make a statement like that after the event.

What's more suprising is that there are so many gullible blues who are willing to trust the words of a man that is so unprofessional he didn't show up to an award ceremony and congratulate a fellow footballer who was categorically better than him all season.

My opinion is that he can get MOTM in the next leg too but it won't change the fact that Madrid behaved in a petulant unsportsmanlike manner over the awarding of the Ballon D'Or to Rodri. The fact they have since doubled down on their ridiculous behaviour (se Ancelotti's ill-judged comments) only further affirms City fans' right to reply to such trash talk.
Vini Jnr can score 99 goals in the second leg and save a penalty too - it won't mean he and his club didn't deserve to be told they behaved like wankers (and continue to do so).

I thought this banner was supposed to go hand in hand with 90 seconds of Tannoy of like the Derby , but we got Freed from desire belted at us instead, who mange that decision change ?

Don't blame a spot on and brilliant banner.

We beat ourselves with bad decision making on and off the field.

Pretty sure there wás a Tannoy off period TBF. Although a fair bit of it wasn't sang through by our fans.
