Exactly. People still go on about the rags having the ones with our years without a trophy on like it was some terrible act. I hate those twats as much as anyone but fair play to them with that. It pissed us off. We are their rivals and we’re shite and they rubbed our nose in it. It’s what footballs all about.

That would've been good too I see this banner as mainly celebrating Rodri more than anything else.

I also don't mind it having a total dig at them though either, for their disgraceful behaviour as a club and something to upset their mardy fans.

Sore losers to an extreme Real Madrid even for awards they or their players didn't deserve, whatever happens it's done now so our fans need to be as loud as possible when this banner is dropped.

No im all for it, I was quoting someone who said it was raggish and cheap, which, to me, it is neither. It’s going to be brilliant.
 
The whole of the watching footballing world will give a knowing nod and a wry smile if Amazon show the banner. Every other Spanish fan & Catalonian will split their collective sides when it's unfurled. If it boils a bit of RM piss great, they already think the Etihad is a trap, so the banner feeds the narrative as far as their players think. It might fire them up so much they forget half the team are a yellow away from suspension. There is literally no downside to it.

What the fuck has happened to our City anti-establishment vibe? When did we start giving a shit about what people think of us?
